  1. Rain wont hurt them. They wont even shrink.
  2. Thats part of why I think the Victory and Indian buyers are happy with thier purchase. They actually get to test ride different models without high pressure sales. You can ride many models and compair. Unlike some places I have been to and you can sit on but not ride. Shoot I have been to a HD dealer or 2 that didnt even want you to sit on but certian bikes.
  3. Depends on what your looking for. I test rode one 2 weeks ago. I didnt care for it. Sterring felt heavy, you had to make the thing turn in. Just didnt feel right.
  4. Well replacement bulb showed up 4 days early. Bad part is its wrong bulb in box. The one that showed up is a single beam and also has connectors and such for like a 9004 bulb. So its a conversion replacement. Seller has been contacted so waiting an answer.
  5. I wonder if you could polish out your streaks with some plastic polish. If not painting them may be your option.
  6. I would bet a weeks pay check your pump is dead. It may work evry now and again, but the points are burned. I replaced my oem pump with the Mr Gasket. Its solid state. I did a write up and its in the tech section. Pictures and all.
  7. Well I would think it has to be a pedal feedback issue. I dont know how it could be anything other than parts that have been changed. Rotor, pads, caliper and if they changed the caliper then it been bleed out. only other thing would be either wheel run out, or the rotor is not running true. Weather it is because the wheel is not running true, or the rotor is not running true due to mounting.
  8. LOL Yup remember the "stray voltage" stuff. I like Flyins explaination ther of running out of all 3 at same time. So I dunno why I remember the repair code of 374, CND
  9. I have found thru my own experiences on bikes the last 7yr or so. My 07 Vulcan had Dunlap D404s. Got just 5k out of them. For those bikes best tires turned out to be the Pirreli Route 66. But I have not heard of anyone using them on RSV. I am fairly convinced some tires just work better on some bikes.
  10. "You know that your landing gear is up and locked when it takes full power to taxi to the terminal." This aircraft was in my squadron. The entire crew were "instructor" rated. LOL We had someone sneak into the flying squadron brief room one night and posted similar saying. First indication of a gear up landing is TRT (total rated thrust) to taxi. One I like from my aircraft incident investigation days. The reason for 90% of all aircraft crashes? Lack of airspeed. A Motor quits, not enough air speed. Stall out, airspeed again.
  11. So you did locate and check the main fuse that is almost under the bike on the left side as you sit on it?
  12. Thanks will be nice if it does. Thats about the only complaint I have with my 765. If I have on the hi vis vest or I have a couple brite green hi vis type weather wicker shirts I wear. And it really reflects in the screen.
  13. Well they certainly have came down from the last time I looked at them.
  14. Heres a listing for one. About $4
  15. I have one like this. I think I got it all wal mart and payed under $10. It is as accurate as my $100 "Rebco race tire" gauge is and repeatable. I also have one that has a different kind of "nipple" end and it never goes on straight and lets pressure out, so I wont use it. The end is much like this, but gauge is a bit shorter. You have to watch you dont get to long of a snout on them or you might not get it in to valve to check. The tires that have 90 deg elbows on them are OK, but my front is still a tight fit depending on where the valve is when checking.
  16. NAH dont think its the issue. It passed the 60/60/60 rule.
  17. One side is slightly longer than the other I think. Also saw where someone used same idea and added a piece of naugahyde or something they had with velcro to extend the visor if need be.
  18. For the OEM size Shinko 150/80-16 load=761 Rear is 992# The 130 (in the 777) front is a bit less and I guess thats why the fellow recommended the OEM size.
  19. Yea me did think of that. The ballast being weak and not firing the bulb all the way. Good thing I didn't use my volt meter. I finally saw where it says 600v max. That would have for sure let the magic smoke out. Looks like if it is the ballast a couple bucks will buy me a new one.
  20. Nope When I emailed their customer support he said the 230 is best for 2nd gen. And a higher load rating also I think.
  21. I really liked my C2 while I had them. Trying out a pair of Shinkos this time around.
  22. I have a custom designed (I think Flyinfool helped me out) on off switch with warning light. So its been on a switch since installed. I found a pair of bulbs for decent price and went ahead and ordered it.
  23. 6 cyl vs 4 and more cubic inch. Both being stock, there aint no substitute for cubic inches. Alot to be said for rider control also.
  24. Just commented on a thread about that. It seems you can buy a unit you can import your maps from your PC to unit, also no audio output jack. I know most "new" bikes and cars have bluetooth something if you had MP3 in use and it would also send your directions via bluetooth. By the way here is the "sun shield" I made upon recommendation from a member.
  25. Look here. They look pretty close. Of course the Street Pilot is not waterproof, which neither is my Nuvi 765T. Being Mc specific I think the display may be a bit different on the Zumo. but for the price I think I can work around. My 2 big points when I was looking were #1 Able to import custom routes from my PC #2 audio out put jack. Which none of the current Nuvi models do anymore. So now days I reckon your screwed into buying a MC unit if you want that.
