Yea I had thought about the checked flag. Also thought about black with a whit pinstripe in sort of a fat with a thinner one on top of that. Say 1/2 for the large.

Well you might as well, get some dielectric grease, and some contact cleaner. Spray them round connectors and apply some grease and put them back togeter and see what ya got. Somewhere is a list of speakers that will fit. Me personaly I wouldnt go hi buck on speakers. Anything above about 45 or so they dont sound very good anyways from the road noise. I use earbuds on longer rides and have built a connector so my ear buds plug into the OEM system.

Is that Sonny's brother?

If you didnt have any of the comm wires apart, I think maybe your just a victom of circumstance. I would look towards the controler having some corroded switches. I think its all sealed up and you will have to take apart to shoot some contact cleaner in there. -
upgrading bulbs

I can tell you I have tried these type in the brake position and dont work worth a hoot. I have tried these bulbs in the turn and brake and they were not much better than a regular bulb and flashed so fast I was not sure someone could differentiate if it was even on. -
So kinda like the loud HD with drag pipes.

While I'm not a graphic artist by any means I have painted and designed some paint schemes for some race cars that have been pretty sharp. I will take a poke here, but the bike is black with white pin striping. I would think maybe you want to stay in the same scheme. I will take a bet if in your area there is a shop that does "wraps" they can do you something up for less money and aggravation then painting it. I will copy and clip a couple of your pics and see if I come up with something I like.

I dont know. I know on auto motors to actually what size bearings for internals you should mic them or plastigauge to see if worn and need replacing.

Last time I went (couple years ago) most of the area that boarder the US our bucks work OK. You need to look, usually usd are worth more on the exchange, so they are happy to take them. I took some Canadian bucks with me like $50, mostly I used one credit card I had called and told them I was going. When you use a credit card it figures the exchange rate automaticly for that day. Always worked good for me. Passport, an insurance card from your company with the Candian requirments. If the agent at the boarder asks you any questions at their shack, DONT step up to the window!!!!! I seemed to occupied her space and she didnt like it. Check wait times where your going to cross. Some have really long wait times.

Did you feel it in the pedal or your braking hand. Sometimes a warped rotor will give you some "feedback" thru them. -

Which bike? first gen or second? -
AH yea didnt even think about the switch for the cruise. On the clutch replacement/freshen I dont know. I have 38k+ on mine and clutch is fine. I think the thing most guys do is either change just the pressure plate or add the "half disk" or whatever its called. Stiffer springs I think is what most guys do. Gives better clamp power. Skydoc is the fellow to ask.

upgrading bulbs

I found some bulbs like that and am using them in my passing lights. They work decent for that. Dont know how they would be for turn signals. Like I said the cheap-o led bulbs off ebay dont do a good job. If you dont use a resistor to increase load on the flasher the blink really fast. -
A couple things to mind. Something like, I bet she wishes she had one of them nice 2nd gen pillow top seats. If it had a seat for two.......... Also if the stock swing arm was on it she would have just fell straight off the back and hit the road. Why do they put those extended swing arms on anyways?

So I wonder if you made it a tick longer if it would change the release point.

Getting it moving is not so much the problem..................

Yea ball end goes on reservoir side. Sorry if got that turned around. Dust seal, way I put it back together was pull rubber seal out. Put around rod, push rod into position then used a small flat tip (electronics type we called them 7 level) screw driver to push seal back in.

See if these pics will help you out. The reading are in MM To make it easy the thickness of the collar in middle is 2.10 With a little math you would have got there. LOL Hope this gets you going. You still got the brass piece that goes in the lever end the rod pushes on? 12:47- Jusst put mine back together. I didnt measure both sides of the rod for pics. But discovered the flat end that goes in the clutch handle is slightly smaller. It measures 4.87 diameter.

At the risk of having to rebuild mine, whats involved in getting to it and putting it back. It looks like maybe just remove the lever and it will pull right out. Is this right? If that's all I might attempt it today for you. Mine squeaks from time to time and I put a little white grease on it where the handle makes contact. and on pivot bolt

Any way you can simply use a caliper and measure the depth. If it is a bit long can file a few thousanths of the end a little at a time.

The 130 front tire helps the slow speed manuvering. I also slipped the forks up in the tripple tree. Its free and lowers the seat height and helps get your feet flat. -
Long sleeve t-shirt and you can wet it and it helps considerably. I like my weather wicker type shirts too. I have a long sleeve one of those also.

LED unless you are just plugging a bulb in requires a bit more work. HID is not a bad option. You can find a plug and play kit on ebay for around 30-35

Last time I was up there say 2yr ago, all the roads re beatm Frost heaves, pot holes from huge 10 axle trucks, just plain ruff in a car. So if your on the bike be watchful. As far as safety, in that area when you will be ther I think your OK. I have not had any problems. Ford museum and Greenfield Village are both pretty cool. Next to it use to be the Ford test track, but I dont even know if they use it any more. If your into Mexican food there is a yummy place near Greek Town I think. We have called it Zoshies. I think the actual name is xochimencos or something like that.
