  1. I allways like the milke bone underwear one. Some of those sure are the way I feel lately looking fore decent job and sending resumes out.
  2. Thats a nice days ride. I dont like to do them all the time. But off and on I kind of like it. I made like 775 in 12.5 a couple years ago. I was tired, but not wore out. Does that make sense? It was fun, had a good friend to ride the first 200 or so miles with. Fill ur up ride, repeat. Hope you a good ride both ways.
  3. ANybody have input on Carbon pads? I just bought a pair from what I have heard they have a little better wear than OEM but dont destroy to rotor.
  4. As luck would have it I found just the parts your looking for down here by me. they are off a 31k mile bike. Only asking $5800. Comes with lost of spare parts besides just what you need. LOL OK so obvious question is have you checked pinwall?
  5. To bad it vibrated so bad it shook the speedo to where it didnt register correctly. Well that would be my story.......
  6. A couple yaers back when I first got the RSV, we were in NC. I had not ever read about the brake fluid issues. Well after dang near running some JA in Range Rover we,were following down mountain roads and my back brake went to the floor. The dummy was riding brakes terrible. I put distance between us to start, and started using the motor way befor they went south. Short story is they went to the floor, I down shifted to 1st and used as much fronts as I could and still be safe. Got to a state park and pulled off. 10 min or so later they felt fine and we continued. Full flush happened on all 3 hydro systems when I got home. Since then I think the system has been flushed every year.
  7. The 3rd pic of mine shows the spacer thing I got from Kirby. It fits where the hndlebars were orginaly. I think you could use a cheap socket that has the same OD. Then drill the riser in that half moon section and tap it to 1/4 20 thread, and run the bolt thru the socket and tighten. I think definatly the easy fix is the rubber spring spacer thing though.
  8. Seen one around here off and on. So I looked up spec one time. Has like aFord escort motor and trans I think. Steering wheel to me just about = car.
  9. To say the least they are dodgey. Some guys have the original and have many 10's of thousands of miles, some only get 20k. But I have to kind of agree it sounds adjustment, or jet related. Like the amount of fuel required for said speed and load is not getting there. Kind of like the old Holley 4bbl when the base gasket use to blow out. Would run like heck but no low speed or idle.
  10. Do the stand alone test for the voltage regulator also. If I read this right you have done the test on the stator and it comes out bad? If so thats the most probable answer.
  11. Well WD works good on a lot of stuff. But locks might not be a first choice in my book. It is an oil, and therefor has a tendency to collect dirt and then make a bad situation worse. See if this link will work for you about repairing the switch. You will have to look in "tech library" then 2nd gen electric.
  12. The lock cylinder can be taken apart, cleaned and greased up. How worn are the grooves in key? Do they look worn and rounded off?
  13. Glad you came out OK. On to the bike. Most insurance companies if I remember right when you get to 60% of value they write it off. From what I have read in last couple weeks with guys having plastic bit broke they get expensive fast.
  14. My thoughts, have you checked the fuel filter? Another thing that is kind of a shot in the dark, check the fuel supply lines. Make sure they are not soft and colapsing .
  15. If you are lowering the forks, I turned mine outward for a little better access.
  16. I would beg to differ on the realestate allways going up. Atleast not around here. It is very slooowly creeping up. But anything bought say 2009,10 you still are behind the curve by about 20%. Usually it was a good investment, but after all the "flipping" that went on for quick cash you have to look it over and know your stuff. Guys knocked out walls and rewired stuff and didnt have a clue about load bearing or circuits.
  17. I hear the got these here machines you put dollars in and pull a handle and they hold on to it for you. Every once in a blue moon they give you some back. Sorry I am about as bad off. I got some coins in 401k which of course is market driven. Annuities a few of them some how gaurentee returns maybe check with one of them guys.
  18. 3/4 & J&M I have no idea performance or whatever. Its not the big dollar one I know that. I have the mink foam touching or near touching my lips.
  19. Some where I think we are missing what I am trying to do. I currently have the OEM 5 pin stuff. I have connections so I can listen to my phone via 3.5mm hook up or GPS same way. I would like for the wife to be able to listen to what she wants and I can listen to something completely different and still have comm. So I think the smh10 or 10r would probably do what I want. The smh5 gets poor marks on the mounting and connections etc.
  20. That front fender looks like it would be a big ole water catcher. I cant imagine how much water would pack up in the thing with the frog chokers we have had down here lately.
  21. Get a can of Seafoam or Berrymans B12. About 1 oz per gallon. It is a fuel system carb cleaner and if there happens to be some crud it will hopefully dissolve it and clean the junk out. Best case is your lugging it, worst case maybe a fuel pump. But I would think the fuel pump would be more evident on hard acceleration when fuel demand is high.
  22. Mine has been in for shoot like 2yr or more. I have never had a problem with excess fuel running to carbs whit the bike off. I do not close off the petcock when parking. Maybe I have just been lucky, or ....... There shouldn't be any pressure building up in the tank to force the fuel towards the carbs anyways as the tank is vented. If I could find my old pump I would investigate weather or not it has a check valve in it, I suspect not. So long story short I dont close the petcock off and have not had a problem with flooding.
  23. So what pray tell controls the voice volume over the phone so someone can hear you. When I try to use it and the bike is moving all she says she can hear is woosh, so I'm guessing background noise. I have looked for setting in garmin (765) dont see anything. I have the phone volume cranked up so I can hear music anyways so wouldnt think thats it. Does the IC volume control voice for the BT use of phone?
  24. I cut the plug off the old and soldered it to the new pump.
