  1. Man them look like the AC vents out of like a 70 F150 or something.
  2. Got a fellow on the Delphi forum that sells OEM yamaha parts. I put out a message to him to see what he can get. Probably be a couple days.
  3. AH MAN I was wondering how come we have not seen any new shows from them. But these channels can make 5 more Rat Rod shows that all could be thrown on at anytime and look the same right? Next stop Velocity channel to write them an e-mail.Here is a link for you all to tell the "what the heck is wrong with you guys"
  4. AHHH OK Way above my memory retention. I'm lucky to remember my home phone number without looking it up in speed dial.
  5. The only stick gauge I have ever had that has been worth a crap, I found in a old car I stripped for a race car. Problem is its starts at about 40 or 50 psi. Its a truck gauge, works OK for my 3/4 ton PU. But any other you might as well throw in trash IMOP
  6. I still have the OEM rear shock on mine. But last year I did change the fork oil and went 1 step thicker. I think the manual calls for 5w and I went with the 10w oil.
  7. Look like a good fix.
  8. I looked for cassette too. Not there, looks to switches of some sort.
  9. Mike have you been doing the repairs or the shop? Have the seals been replaced with OEM Honda seals? Does anyone else make a seal to go in there. Could be that Hondas manufacture has had a snafu thru the production run. I assume no nicks/damage to fork tubes. Maybe a change in fork oil brands?
  10. http://www.kbb.com/motorcycles/yamaha/xvz13d-venture-royale/1991-yamaha-xvz13d-venture-royale/suggestedretailvalue/
  11. So how does the phone actually stay in the mount. My current mount is a RAM and the X type. I have an LG2 Previous to this I had a mount I got off e-bay and it had a small ledge sort of on the bottom and then the side pieces "pushed in to clamp" the sides.
  12. If engine will turn over, change plug. If its "stuck" you might be able to pull plug, fill what you can of cyl with like ATF or some light weight oil and let it soak for awhile. Try to flush the fuel lines and get pre-mix up to carb and a new plug and see if it will run. If the rings/piston are bad, I would say chance are it will cost more in parts than what its worth. I'm actually thinking if mine dies going cordless. Home Depot has a cordless job (I think its Bosch or Ryobi) that uses the same batteries as the drill saw etc.
  13. Hmm rite now my brain aint seeing it. So guessed I missed it. But sometimes vanity plates do that unless you are kind of on same wave length. Only vanity we have had was when we were in Oklahoma. 2DRACES
  14. You would like to think there would be an oil film on the cams wouldnt you. But actually with the covers on I dont think you have that issue as it "sealed" so to speak. But I think I get what your saying. If it didnt have a coating for a couple days, what the heck happens on a start up after those same amount of days.
  15. I lost a "ring" off one of my lights and then the lens fell out. I managed to find the lens (although it had a chip in it) and resecured it. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement light assy. I mounted up the brackets mine are alum clamps) and once got them aimed where I wanted them. Locktite the screws. There are also a couple of set screws on that bracket.
  16. I'll pay the ticket if it keeps the soccer mom who dropped her cell phone when her starbucks burned her lip dont run me a$$ over. I think they are more or less talking about like an ambulance type lights. A couple flashes then steady shouldn't get you to much grief. Shoot you can do the same thing tapping your brake a couple times while stopping. Just one of them things, if a LEO gives you a ticket for this he has a really slow day or you PO him.
  17. Now if this bloke get his tank fixed for say $40 do ya think it has paid for his membership? LOL
  18. I have a digital gauge that was about $10-12. This here is the dodger. Have one like this I actually bought to carry on bike but dont like the angle of the dangle. Both read the same. I have checked them against a gauge I had when racing that cost over $100. Its not digital but if they read 40 psi the needle shows 40. Oh and I wanted to ask, what kind of rear tire. My E3 got the choppy tread thing going before I changed it.
  19. REGISTERED ??? Whaaaat I thought they just stuck numbers they like on them things an then go terrorize the beaches and try to run over folks at the beach with kids.
  20. Mine has had a heated seat here lately. Wish I could figure out how to turn it off. LOL Man when it cools down here we have to get something together.
  21. Look up some "paintless dent repair" guys. When I lived in Oklahoma this option was just starting out. They use some kind of steel rod with special tips and roll the dents out without bondo or paint.
  22. Sounds almost like ping/spark preignition. Engine is igniting fuel prior to spark plug, so poor power. Typily next higher grade of fuel will stop it. But as you have found an RPM adjustment helps also.
  23. See if you still had the Venture you would have plenty of heat. lol Im good to atleast 40, chaps work well. Fingers are what do me in.
  24. Looks to me plug in your numbers on your scoot. Height weight etc. Then on bottom it gives some dimensions. Compare those to what your would be on the other bike
  25. From where I sit most all of you are yankees. We normally try to schedule our trip on the bike the 2nd week in Oct up to Nc mountains. Last couple years has been hot traveling even then. But I know the ones starting from Way up there say Ohio north might get caught in some bad stuff.
