  1. Dont feel to bad. The radio operation is not as easy as 1,2,3. I mean I get the radio to work and aux and the cd. But the preset radio station and going thru them is a pain. It seems I either dont remember there are 3 FM sections so to speak. I usually try to preset one bank for stations the wife prefers around here, a bank for me. But it never seems to fail I get them set and I will have to disconnect the battery for some reason. Then its back to the owners manual for a refresher course. Same every spring and fall to reset clock. LOL On the bags I take the bottoms out first. Then the rear with the spacer, so I can catch it. Then the front and help hold the bag upright as it will sometimes want to tip with lid open. Going back together I sit it on the mounts and usually start the front bolt for same reason. START all bolts before tightening any of them.
  2. Working on this switch idea in a couple hours so hope I come up with something.
  3. WOW'zer 154 is the cheapest I have heard of anyone finding one for. Now how long it takes to get......... Going to do a little research this weekend on a back up plan that would run oh maybe 30 bucks.
  4. Definatlt different. Sometimes at bike rallies I like looking at the unique trailers.

I bought mine 2yr ago maybe. Plastic job and It came from autozone. But I think harbor freight has them if your close by one of those.
  6. Way pricey. Close to $300 However I am working on a way to work around the OEM switch. Some guys say boats.net I think. Last year a fellow had a switch gobad and it was backordered for almost 2 months I think. So whats gone wrong with yours and whats it doing.
  7. The early 92 inch motors up to like 02 had a second gear issue. After that pretty builet proof. The bigger motors came along when the big round tanks went away.
  8. Slow boat from China delivery?
  9. Yup I had to look it up. The Kingpin was sort of the touring bike then. I would have bought one I found but the bags were dinky because of the high pipws on the right.
  10. H2O Yes you have to watch the thickness of the clamps when using the crash bars on the RSV and TD. There is not a lot of clearance there. Mounting my driving lights there was a challenge.
  11. Cross country? Cross Roads, Vision I will bet its more than 10k. If it is 10k its a steal if one of those models. If its a kingpin that might be about rite.
  12. Barry, we are heading up that way Oct 10-16th. We usually go as far as Madison Ga and stay the night. Then finish up where ever we are going. Actually I think we are staying in Sapphire NC this year with a friend a few days. I normally boogie up I 75 to Macon, then jump off on US 441 and take more scenic stuff. Probably leave up that way Fri, cruise on over to Savannah Ga and stay a couple nights, and head home Sun. Weather is usually decent there that time of year. Up around the NY Canada or Falls area who knows.
  13. Is this what your looking for?
  14. I looked before for like a service or repair kit. All I found was the complete lock assy.
  15. Dougslap: I have yet to get a straight answer from anyone on this question. Why is the whine on prevalent in the 2nd Gen? How come you dont hear of it in the preceding bike that share the same drive train parts? Can you put a 1st gen clutch basket in? I honestly think the only way to correct it completely would be to swap not only the clutch basket, but also the drive gear on the cluster set. I don't claim to be an engineer, but all that is being done it reducing the gap between the gears by replacing on of the out put gears and thus changing the face contact. As far as the dealer goes. If they will guarantee whatever they are going to do gets rid of the whine, I'd say go for it. Other wise IMOP you could be throwing $$ at it until they get tired of taking it.
  16. Man them look like the AC vents out of like a 70 F150 or something.
  17. Got a fellow on the Delphi forum that sells OEM yamaha parts. I put out a message to him to see what he can get. Probably be a couple days.
  18. AH MAN I was wondering how come we have not seen any new shows from them. But these channels can make 5 more Rat Rod shows that all could be thrown on at anytime and look the same right? Next stop Velocity channel to write them an e-mail.Here is a link for you all to tell the "what the heck is wrong with you guys"
  19. AHHH OK Way above my memory retention. I'm lucky to remember my home phone number without looking it up in speed dial.
  20. The only stick gauge I have ever had that has been worth a crap, I found in a old car I stripped for a race car. Problem is its starts at about 40 or 50 psi. Its a truck gauge, works OK for my 3/4 ton PU. But any other you might as well throw in trash IMOP
  21. I still have the OEM rear shock on mine. But last year I did change the fork oil and went 1 step thicker. I think the manual calls for 5w and I went with the 10w oil.
  22. Look like a good fix.
  23. I looked for cassette too. Not there, looks to switches of some sort.
  24. Mike have you been doing the repairs or the shop? Have the seals been replaced with OEM Honda seals? Does anyone else make a seal to go in there. Could be that Hondas manufacture has had a snafu thru the production run. I assume no nicks/damage to fork tubes. Maybe a change in fork oil brands?
