    I have an engine, not sure if it runs, I am taking the tranny out and transplanting it...........:doh:

    Al and Diane Bates produced the two Vogel DVD, they might still have one, I will check to see if I have extras or can get mine copied.

    We dont want this to become an accounting nightmare to figure out who got the most donations. I think we just need to keep it to the amount collected and turned in at St. Jude next year. It is a great idea to donate in there behalf, and I would if I could. Lets just not make this too complicated.

    I always watch my rearviews when stopped, wouldnt want that to happen to me...........glad the rider is okay, but from the looks of the impact to front and back of bike, I would have assumed he would be hurting pretty bad after it was over................glad there were no injuries............

    If you will read the whole post, I am pulling the engine to do a 2nd gear fix, at the same time I will be doing everything else...............geeze................:bang head:

    Pulling the motor to fix 2nd gear issue with a tranny from a 86.........mine is a 83, thats why the engine will be out of frame and everything done at that time.

    I think the starter clutch on my 1st gen is bad, what are the symptons......not engaging all the time, spinning freely when trying to start? Thats what it does, so would repairing the clutch on it be a remedy or should I change the whole thing? I will be doing this when I pull the motor to fix 2nd gear. Sure wish that motor I was given had the starter with it.............but I am extremely lucky to have it, courtesy of Master Guns.............

    You can help in many ways, you could organize a meet and eat and ask for donations for St. Jude, or ask your fellow workers if they would be willing to contribute, or maybe even ask your company if they would make a donation. Really anything you can to raise awareness and donations would be of great benefit to the kids at St. Jude.

    Murph, please send me his email addy so I can correspond with him and maybe set some kind of loose rules and maybe a trophy of some sort to the winners............ Thanks for bringing him, no offense was taken, and we love a challenge her at VR.

    As far as we discussed, it is funds brought to St. Jude next year and presented there. The group was invited by a VR member. Start is today, cut off is next years ride date, not set at this time, but should be about the same time as this years ride. The winner is determined by highest total of donation and who has the largest amount of riders there. Anybody can contribute, dont have to be a member. no penalties............just bragging rights, I will discuss a prize or some sort from the looser.
