Happened to me, had to unclog that little bleeder hole in the master to make it work right, now all is good.

A lot has been going on in this household for the past few years, it all started with Charlene having her knee scoped, then before she could start PT for that, she burned both her feat severly, that aggravated her back and hip with the position she had to keep her feet in, then 2 spine surgeries in Jan. 2010, then a total hip replacement later the same year, then 2011 comes along and she has surgery for herniated disk in her neck. She still has some other problems but is going to PT for those to see if that helps. I start out this year with a severe case of bursitis that was very very painful and kept me out of work for a few days, that all cleared up, and now find I have scoleosis, spinal stenosis, and s slipped vertebrae. Treatment started on that, feeling a little better, stated PT yesterday, and BANG, started having chest pains on the way home.........dang, not having the other symptoms associated with the BIG ONE, so call my nurse rep with my med carrier and she says get to ER right away...........Oh No..!!!!!!!! Get there they put me in a trauma room stat start taking blood, EKG, X-Rays, inhalation therapy for trouble catching my breath. After almost 2 hours all hooked up to monitors the Dr. comes back..........Double Pneumonia , ok, I have had walking Pneumonia several times but I usually had something else going on to precipitate it...........not this time, sudden onset, I didnt know that it could happen that suddenly, but I learned different. Now I have to miss 3 days of work at least. Sure wish this Black Cloud would move on. Now they have me on IV antibiotics, after about 5 minnutes I start itching on my face and neck, I am breaking out in Hives, call the nurse back, have to switch antibiotics, they give me more steroids, and Benadryl to stop the itching. What is next? Just spoke to my daughter who is in nursing school, tell her whats going on and get another punch in the face, the antibiotic I am now on, and the steroids can make you susceptible to tearing your Achilles tendon.:bang head: Aint life DANDY???

Great, glad you and the missus will make it. As for the raffle tickets they are $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00. You can add the raffle ticket money to your registrations and just let me know how many raffle tickets your want, or send me a check for the tickets separately or you can buy them at Vogel. I will have help selling them for me on site. Right now the prizes are a Dell D620 laptop computer and 2 MP3/Video players and a Morgan Carbtune donated by Sean Morgan of Morgan Carbtune. Maybe more to be added before we draw. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. All monies raised by these raffles is going to the Kids at St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Thanks again and look forward to meeting you and the Mrs........

Well you can still come up with one, I am sort of out of idea's for rides, send me the info and I will get it taken care of. As for Saturday, I was hoping to start the activities at the shelter around 3:00 because we ran long last time and ended in the dark. Really do appreciate all your help Eck, you are one of a kind.

If any of you are bringing your children or unlicensed teens, the only thing extra for them is the cost of the dinner which I will put at $5.00.

I have 19 rsvp to come, and 10 maybe, I have only 5 registrations and still have over 100 raffle tickets to sell. Maybe some are waiting on the schedule, so here is what I have planned but its not definite and is subject to change. Wed. Registration starts at 12:00 pm. Dinner ride to Fatz in Blairsville. We ate there last year and had a great time eating great food. Thursday. Hopefully have 3 different rides planned, you pick the one you want to do. 1. Ride to Helen for shopping, tubing, and lunch. 2. Ride to Bryson City to raft on the Natahala River. 3. Not Decided yet, Hoping Eck comes up with one. Friday. The theme ride for the event. The Tail of the Dragon, always fun. Saturday. A free day to lounge around the park, play mini golf, get your bike carb tuned, take a ride of your choice. Around 2-3 pm Catered meal served at shelter # 3. Then have drawings for door prizes, raffle drawing for prizes and cash. Thats it in a nutshell, I hope this helps some people decide and send in registrations and buy some raffle tickets. Remember all profits from this event are going to the Kids at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tn. And there is a ride for that in October. Tail of the Dragon @ Vogel V Aug. 17-21, 2011 Vogel State Park Blairsville, Ga. Registration will begin at 12:00 PM Wed. Aug. 17, 2011, in front of the convenience store/office. You can register there or register early by mail. The registration form can be found as an attachment at the bottom of this post. You can also RSVP by clicking on the VR calendar. We now have confirmed rates at the Seasons Inn and the Best Western in Blairsville, an 11 mile ride from the park. For reservations at the Best Western call them direct at 706-745-6995, identify yourself as a Venturerider and your rate will be $62.99 per nite. For reservations at the Seasons Inn call direct 706-745-1631, identify yourself as a Venturerider and you will get a rate of $55.00 per nite. For reservations at Vogel State Park for camping, cabin, rv parking you can do so online at this link...or call Reservations (800) 864-7275 Georgia State Parks - Vogel State Park I will also be posting the schedule of what is planned at a later date. This year I am doing it a little differently, every adult attending will pay a $35.00 registration fee, what you get for this is a t-shirt, patch and a catered meal on Saturday. I hate to sound like a pessimist, but things arent looking good for raising funds for St. Jude this year. Yes I have sold some t shirts, and I have some left. But Registrations are way down for being under 2 months from Vogel, 53 days to be exact, I need to know some numbers of how many are coming and I thought the poll would help out there, but it hasnt. I need to order the shirts and patches in about 3 weeks and with what I know know, I wont be ordering the quanities that I usually order which is 100 patches and 100 t-shirts. Raffle ticket sales have just surpassed what I spent on the 3 items I bought out of my own pocket, and we need to sell the rest which is 115 tickets. So please if you plan on coming, please go to the poll and vote, that would be a great help. And if anybody would like to help in selling raffle tickets, I would be more than happy to send some out, Send me a pm or let me know on this post if you can help. Thanks, Lewis

I have been having some low back pain now for several weeks, I just got over a bout of Bursitis, which was very, very painful, I had an appointment for followup from that today. While at work today I was leaning up against a table in an office just resting and all of a sudden something pinched really really bad in my lower back and I almost hit the floor. I didnt really think much about it and took some pain meds. Later I starting noticing how painful it was to walk and everytime I put weight on my right foot it hurt my back like hell. So I went to the Dr. as scheduled and told him what was going on and he examined me and sent me for some x-rays. When he came back in the room the cheery smile was gone from his face as he sat down to show Charlene and I the results. First thing was I have scoliosis in my lower back, a little higher up signs of arthritis, and then the real bad part was a slipped vertebrae that was causing the pinching and pain. I couldnt believe there would be that much. So now I have to go back next week to a spine dr. and have either an MRI or CAT scan. No new pain meds cause I am already on them and they aint working, so he prescribed Steroids, in massive dose, went to get it filled and its backoredered from the mfg. Nobody had them, now I have to wait another day for the Dr to change the script. And I am also going to physical therapy to see if that helps..........Now I am seeing some of the same Dr.'s that Charlene was seeing for all of her problems...............Cant catch a break:bang head: All of this and Vogel 2 months away!!!!!!!!!!!!. :crying:

Ask George and Bobbie what I looked like when a yellow jacket got inside my full face helmet..........another Kodak moment missed, and it did sting the heck out of me........I saw it happen to a friend of mine once and it sure is funny looking back and seeing a grown man slapping his helmet with one hand while trying to control a M/C while doing 65 mph...........bobbing and weaving down the road.

2 years ago my wife had 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns on both feet from spilling boiling water on them. She was laid up for some time and the recovery was painfull ;for the both of us, I had to nurse her wounds 2-3 times a day and be her nurse 24/7. I know you will be doing the same for your wife, we wish her a speedy and full recovery.

As I read the law, the operator is only legally able to use the helmet speakers for 2 way comm. listening to music with any type of in helmet speakers or earbuds is illegal!! But we do it anyway, just thought I would pass that along. Georgia Laws Regarding the Motorcycle Operator and Riding Under Georgia code 40-6-315, you must wear a state-approved helmet, along with suitable eye protection unless your cycle has a windscreen. You are not allowed to listen to music while riding, but you can use helmet speakers for communication.
