My son's home in Albany, La. His house is still dry but his shop/garage/in law suite is flooded, has about 6-7 inches of water in it. They have had over 22 inches of rain in 2 days and no let up. Water has started to recede, but the rain is still falling, and expected to continue for a few more days. So glad they are safe, but the boat is ready to go if need be, all the roads and highways are flooded and impassable. The National Guard has been making water rescues all over his area, they saw his boat ready to go and haven't stopped to check on them. Praying they don't have to launch their life boat. Praying for all those affected by this, the national weather service is calling this a 500 year storm, its the most rain that has ever fallen in that area, and that includes hurricanes, they didn't have this much water after last years storm.

Does anyone happen to have a spare front wheel for a 1st gen, with rotors attached that you would be willing to part with. I would love to have an extra one that I could mount a tire on so I could replace my front tire without having to lay one of them up while I have a new one installed.

Yes Larry, Jamies wife had one and the first time they brought it to Vogel, she laid it down in a turn, ended her riding days, she wont even ride with Jamie now. Hers was the 650 that resembled the V Rod, ran pretty good, their son Wes rode it to the Skid In one year and it did okay.

I know what you speak of Randy, TOD/Vogel attendence was way down the last two years, next year is 50/50 at best. Health and life getting in the way, the bikes both sit in the garage and dont get much road time, and its a shame that it just doesnt excite me like it used to, guess we are getting old.

Ok Puc , here is a picture of the 87, there are 2 different connectors. 1 is a single pin plug like the one you show, the other is a 2 blade connector. The fan works as it should, so I need the one that transmitts the temp to the guage. The 83 is a different set up. So I guess it has to be specific to the Gen 2 type.

Slowly been putting things back in order that were missing from my 87, the only thing I need now is a water temp sending unit, cant find one on ebay, so hoping someone here might have one laying around. Be glad to pay a fair price and shipping for it. The temp gauge worked intermittently for a while but now nothing. Or if your in need of something spare that I have we can do a trade.

Just had my 93 Motortrike inspected by my local trike shop, the suspension needed to be tightened up and lubed. They checked everything, brakes, bearings, rear end. All it needed was to have the chassis re-tourqed and add some oil to the rear end. Its better now, but they suggested when I replace the air shocks, I might want to go to coil over shocks instead of air shocks. Now that is something I can do, but I have looked and cant find an application for those for a 1st gen Venture trike. Does anyone know of a supplier I can check with. If I have them do it will a run about $90.00 per shock plus installation, which would be about 1 hr labor, so looking at about $250.00 to 270.00 if they do it. Any help or leads would be appreciated.

I had an 81 Seca 750 Tour, it had the factory tour pack on it, havent seen many like it, when I bought it the mufflers were rusted out so I found a set of 900 mufflers and bought them, like them better. Wish I could have kept it along with the Venture, but it had to go to pay for the Venture. I think the lines on it are more like the Venture. Loved it, ran flawlessy for the 2 years I had it.
