In the second vid they showed it on glass, bare metal, plastic, painted surface. Just dont put it on your tires, instant hydroplaning.........:shock3:

I thank everyone for their input, it has been very helpful. I found an internet deal through Amazon that I think is pretty good compared to all the others I looked at. It is a Canon EOS Rebel T3. Here is what it comes with, 2 UV filters, 55-300mm zoom lens,18-55 mm lens, 59" tripod, carry bag, 2 rechargeable batteries, charger, 16 GB sd card, card wallet, lcd screen protectors, & camera/lens cleaning kit & usb card reader. All under $650.00, and that includes shipping. I went a little over budget, but its the best deal I have found anywhere. Haven't ordered it yet, so if anyone knows of a better deal I would love to hear about it. I really wanted the Rebel EOS T3i mainly because its lcd screen is adjustable and it can be swiveled when closed so the screen is not exposed, but its way over my meager budget. Again, thanks for all the help.

Its been a long time since I have seen a post from you, was wondering if you were still a VR member. You, being a prof. photo guy, your input has me going more that way. Now someone else said the basic lens that comes with the kits being offered are not all that good, that being said, what lens would you suggest for everyday use, I am already wanting the 18-250mm lens or maybe longer. What kind of mount does the Canon use, and which brand of lens would you suggest. I have a couple of Pentax K mount lens hanging around here someplace from my old SLR 35mm. But I don't want to buy a camera body just because I have those lens. Thanks again for you suggestions.

How about them LSU Tigers...........SEC Champs........next stop New Orleans for the BCS Championship game against..........The Crimson Tide..........I will be glad when they revamp the BCS rating system.......I feel you need to win your conference championship to be eligible for the National Championship. But its what we have now so hopefully it will change soon. Its going to be a good game but we just saw that game a few weeks ago.............Geaux Tigers!!!!!!

Looking to upgrade my digital camera from a point and shoot to an SLR Digital, I hear a lot of good things about the Canon EOS Rebel. Any others out there that I should consider. Money is a concern, trying to stay under $500.00. I know we have a lot of camera buffs here and hopefully they can help me with this decision.

I am back home, typing one finger style, hand is a little sore, got home at 11:15. not just sit around and mend.

I know your not nearly as old as I am, so you dont require a Dr. as much as I do at my old age, but on one hand you are right I do have a female Dr............and the Dr visits aren't over yet, still haven't got the vertigo thing figured out yet, heart was ruled out last week, had very good results from the stress test and the ultrasound.

Had a nice short last ride for the year today, tomorrow I will be having carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand, also wont be back to work till mid or end of Jan. Perfect time for some paid time off, never had this much time off at Christmas time. Surgery at 7:00 am tomorrow morning (Monday), will be home by 9:30/10:30 am, I cant believe how fast they do them now, when I had my right hand done back in 2005, I was at the hospital for at least 1/2 a day. This will give me a taste of retirement...........looking forward to it.

I loved what he did with it in the first pic, the white looked really cool. I think he went the wrong way with his mods, my personal opinion............the rat bike would have looked better with different pipes though.
