I posted the following message before we went on our cruise, didnt get any response to it, so I will repost here. If everyone would rather have the auctions, I can do that, so let me know how ya'll let me know how we should do it. I got plenty of shirts and pins and some hats left, they taking up space and I need to move them, I can take them with me to this years St. Jude ride but I would like to have most of them gone. If you want one of these items send me a pm telling me what you want. It will cost you $5.00 for the USPS priority mail shipping, plus a donation for the kids at St. Jude. At least make your donation a minimum of $5.00 for each item you want, you can make a larger donation, which would be fantastic, so if you want one of each , pin, shirt, hat, that would be $15.00 donation and $5.00 for shipping. Now I have plenty of shirts and about 30 pins, 15 hats, so pm me first before you paypal to make sure I have what you want.

Weather Channel says yesterday and last nights storms are the worst outbreak of tornado's for the month of March, and its only 3 days in. Hope everyone made it through ok. We only had one here in Ga, but it was on the ground for a long time. Indiana and Kentucky took hard hits, praying for those hit hard and hoping for no loss of life. This has been a freaky winter, I don't ever remember weather like this.

Where they live in Kansas, they are so well loved and admired in the community, they live in a walled compound to keep the admirer's away, they cant stand all the love that is thrust upon them for all they do for the community and their state. I have a hard time believing the the Baptist allow them to identify themselves with real Baptist.

Well I am not sure if westboro idiots showed up here in Newnan, I checked the local newspaper that covered it extensively, and no mention made of them showing up. That makes me very happy they were a no show. I do believe it could have gone bad for them if they had. On another not, the photographer for PGR snapped this shot of me and another member, I guessed he noticed the slight resemblance to each other............what do you think?

Very smart move, maybe more of this should happen when and if they show up and people can find out where they are staying...........Hats off to the folks of Brandon, Miss.

I just found out that the scum from westboro baptist church are here in Newnan to disrupt the funeral service of Capt. Nicholas Whitlock USAF. I particitpated in the arrival at the airport and then stood in line at church to Honor Capt. Whilock. Now the scum, and thats the worst that I can say on here being its a pg site are here to disrupt and try to disgrace his name, his family, and his country by spewing their filth as close to the church as they can. I was unable to attned and maybe that is best, because I would have a hard time containing myself from confronting them. They need to go back to kansas and lack themselves in their compound and rot!! The views stated here are mine and do not represent that of VentureRider.org. Rant over!!!:soapbox: On the other hand, they don't realize who the family is they are taking on, the Whitlock family is very well know and connected in Coweta county. They practically founded it and have had someone in the family running it for a long time. I am feeling that if they really piss them off, they would have a really hard time getting out of the county. I was told by a capt on the local police dept and a PGR member, that the 92 year old grandfather can wield a mean cane and isn't afraid to use it. I will see tonite on the news if they decided to show up. Or some of our locals could take matters into their own hands, and everyone would look the other way I am sure.....Capt. Whitlock was a 2 sport all-star at one of the local high schools, an Eagle Scout, and regarded highly by everyone in this small Ga. town.

Once we get you going to some meet & eats, you will want to start making all the VR events you can.......then the miles will pile up. Hopefully I will be getting my 1st gen up and running before the summer.

Thanks Randy, I couldn't serve my country, so I serve to honor our servicemen and women and to honor those that have given their all. It is the least I can do.

DragonRider replied to KIC's topic in Watering Hole
Jamie, aka wingman bought one for his wife, it gave them pretty good service, until they turned it over to their son, who rode it lilke it was stolen, it didnt hold up to well, had a hard time finding a shop to work on it......I rode it once, nice starter bike, that is the bike she laid down at Vogel in 2007. Hers was not the GT model but hers sure did resemble the VRod. -
Just got back from a local PGR mission, while I was there, another PGR member walked up and introduced himself to me, and said he noticed my VR patch and asked if I rode a Venture, as he did, he is also a fairly new member here. His name is Matt, aka Doppler. He rides a very nice 89, that has only 27,000 miles on it, not even close to being broken in. Going back at 2:30 to continue the mission for the visitation. Capt. Nicholas Whitlock, USAF. Another fallen hero.

I guess 38 years of marriage to Charlene, means we are married for good!!!!!!!!!!!! -
We made it back safe and sound from our Carribbean cruise, didnt have to stay close to the captain in case he fell in the lifeboat. We had a fantastic time, have almost as many pics as Bobbie would take will take me a while to sort through them. This evening after work I will try to catch up on everything I missed here at VR. Its good to be home, but hate to go back to work. I am posting one pic to show I still had time for St. Jude while on our vacation.

I am going to try something new.......instead of posting auctions for all this stuff I have, and more coming from Jason, lets try this, I think it will work faster and make everyone happy. I will respond to all the om's after we return from our cruise which will be Feb 23. So don't forget this is for the Kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. :mo money::mo money:

I thought the idea of having a midnight was less chrome more black............ Jeff you ever think of adding a little chrome to your WV cruiser!!!!
-
Well Eck, if that what it takes to get a chance to ride or have a lunch with you I guess I could tolerate a kick in the shins, thats about the only thing that hasnt been hurting at one time or another............In fact after we get back from our cruise I might even plan a meet and eat here in Newman just for that occasion!

Nobody rides a bike the way Muffin does, the Venture is the only bike that will stand up to his abuse......thats my words for the way he rides...........Eck, myself, and many others dont ride our bikes as hard as Muffin does, I don't think any other bike would stand up to the abuse that the 1st Gen does, plus I think just to make the point that the Venture is a superior bike to the Honda, he goes extra hard to prove that point...........that's just my opinion. On the other side of the coin, nobody with the exception of maybe Dokin babies their bike like Eck does, remember, Eck couldn't even pass a UPS truck at Vogel one year. Therefore they don't give them any problems., again thats just my opinion..............

I don't know that I deserve it, but Charlene most surely deserves it..........its been a long time coming.........but finally.

Only 3 more days of work then Charlene and I are off to New Orleans to board the Carnival Conquest for our very first cruise. We cant wait to get on board. Everybody that we know raves about cruises. We are taking 3 excursions, all waterborne, not taking any land trips, want to get as much sea and sand as I can, because I have never seen or been on a beach or in such clear water as I have seen in the pictures and vids. Looking forward to snorkeling and taking some underwater pics with my new underwater camera. If anyone here has been on the Carnival Conquest, I would love to hear your review on it. I will be posting some new St. Jude auctions before I leave so you guys can have fun bidding on them. It will be a big surprise to see how much money you guys throw at these auctions while I am gone. Will be back online on Feb. 22.

One of the singers who backed her up had a small solo in one of her songs near the end and she flipped the finger at the camera, didnt see it myself but they showed it on the news this morning..........so........Crass.........no class, they think its funny, but it marred an otherwise great halftime and I am no Madonna fan, but she still has it..........

Born and raised in the NOLA area for 55 years, had to get out for a change of scenery. If I told all of the great places to go, you would have to have a couple 3 weeks to do it. Here a few. French Quarter, St. Louis Cathedral, Cafe DuMonde for Beignets and Cafe au lait, thats french donuts covered in powered sugar and Chickory coffee. Visit the D Day museum, very worth while. A ride down River Road through St. Charles Parish past a couple of old plantation homes is a must. Destrehan Plantation and Ormond Plantation, they are the closest one to NOLA. Have a great trip.

I resemble that remark, and I also resent that remark..........
