I too am a PGR member, my only regret is I cant make more missions, it is such an honor to stand for our fallen hero's. My work schedule just doesn't allow me to do as many as I want too. I am always impressed with the turnout of people welcoming the fallen hero's home, I think back at how our service personal were welcomed back from Vietnam, and I am ashamed of how our military were treated. Times have changed, now we stand for them and honor them, way too late for some, but well deserved. Thanks for your participation, and to everyone else who is a member of PGR,

Wow, we would have to take our hands and minds off the road to switch channels..... ........Channel 29 is the official cb channel of Venturerider.org. If you go to 29 you might hear from more of us if your spotted....... Have a great ride and meet. Shriners do a fantastic job of raising awareness for their chairities.

I have one now, wouldn't do it again, hate the fees, but when I do use it I enjoy it very much:thumbsup:. You do not have to go to the sales pitch, just tell them I will call you don't call me. Don't answer the phone. You are under no obligation to attend any sales presentation when you visit your time share:no-no-no:. All they want you to do is sell you more.....they entice you with free things that don't amount to a hill of beans.............Just go on your vacation and enjoy yourself.

I cant get to it today, I will dig it out after work tomorrow. You can have it for a donation to St. Jude. Like I said it was donated to me and I don't need it since mine is an 83, I am just using the tranny from it. I plan on auctioning off the leftovers for St. Jude.

Well with a little help from a co-worker and new VR member, K-Rider, we finally got the motor out of the frame on my 83, and the write up in the tech section was a big help. After we got it out sprayed the lower frame and the motor with de-greaser used the pressure washer to get all that 29 year old grease of the frame and motor, I couldnt believe how much grease had built up on the parts of the engine I couldnt see..........it will make disassemble of the motor a not so dirty job.

We have a member who's father was a F-4 Corsair pilot in the S.Pacific during WWII. I think you would be surprised at who the member is........I will let a few of you guess, before I reveal. In his later years after serving he became and Episcopal Priest. I would have loved to have met him but he passed on last year. Our member talked proudly of his dads accomplishments the last time we saw each other.

I just got back from meeting alazzurra aka Tim Mobley, he is in Atlanta for business and while here he purchased a 93 Venture. He was in need of some headsets for it, and I had posted about having a couple of sets for sale and he got the 2nd set. He was really excited about getting his first 1st Gen. He did it because his wife wasn't comfortable on his Ducati... Great new member looking forward to meeting up with him again, he lives in Memphis, and his son is also a patient at St. Jude. I expect we will be seeing them in Oct. when we make our yearly ride to St. Jude. Please give him a warm welcome.:clap2:

Look on the bright side, if you can find one, he didnt quit school to go to work for A..le, he has a job, even if it is for A..le.......and if he does somehow see the light, there is a down side, he will never, ever, be hired by Dell!!!!:bang head:

Made it home from Steve Wagner's M/D. Steve is a very gracious host and I thank him for hosting this event, looking forward to going back again. But, dont take a 1st Gen that needs a little work, poor Venture N Dixie was made to feel like the red headed stepchild the whole time he was there, Steve gave him the VentureRider warm welcome, told him if the dumpster was still there he wouldnt have to trailer his bike back home, he could just toss it in the dumpster........poor guy, at least it wasnt me being picked on, thanks Venture N Dixie for being such a great sport in taking all the flak you took from each and every one of us, you have to know that's what it takes to make newbies feel loved here at VR. On the other hand met some new faces and some old faces too. Again we only had that one 1st Gen and we showed it plenty of love by stripping it partway down and fixing, or at least trying to fix a leaky carb, and did get it carb tuned thanks to RandyR. Randy thanks for all the cold beverages. Here are a few pics of all the fun we had with the 1st Genner!
