Like to see if someone in the area could take a look at this trike and check it out for me. Its located in Green, Ohio. Its about 70 miles from Don, but I know he is very busy guy. Hope someone else could check it out for me. Its a 93 Venture trike. Owner doesnt know what kit is on it or if the front end is raked. He said it would be okay for someone to come by and check it out. http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/mcy/3216256238.html

I am sitting home recuperating from another injection into my spine for the lower back pain that has me up and down. The last injection lasted me over 6 months, the Dr. thought that was amazing. I hope this one last just as long, you normally have to get at least 2 or 3 before you get some relief, but I got a good Dr. and he hit it right the first time, not like the Dr. Charlene used 6 times and never got any relief, that why she went the surgical route. On another note wanted to let ya'll know I have posted the V Star 1300 Tour I have had for the last 5 years on E Bay. Got to make room for the Trike I have yet to find, but not in a big hurry, at least Charlene isn't. If anyone is interested in it from the site, I would be willing to sell it for the reserve price I have listed on Ebay. If you want to check it out here is the lilnk. http://www.ebay.com/itm/130754333785?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Well if she decides to stay maybe you can stuff them into your friends bikes, your bike, and bring them with you, we always collect donations there for the shirts and never seem to have enough to go around. Just a thought.

Thanks, I havent heard back from the owner yet, but as soon as I do, I will let you know if I need you to go, maybe someone closer will chime in.\ Thanks.

We will be meeting at the Flying J/Pilot Truck Stop that is at the Junction of I-40 and I-55, this is in W. Memphis, Ark. We plan on arriving there between 10:30-11:00 am. We will have lunch there and then proceed over to St. Jude which is a short ride across the river. You will have the option of touring the hospital or the Ronald Mc Donald house, which is just across the interstate from the hospital. We have done the RD House once and everyone enjoyed it so the folks at St. Jude said we could have groups do either of the 2, but there wouldnt be enough time for everyone to do both.

Looking forward to seeing a lot of old faces and new faces at St. Jude this year, its always a good time and Patti is right, there must be something in the air that makes our eyes water every time we got there................:crying:

Rick, you almost had it right, I think this is what you really meant to say.........:stirthepot: As for the difference between the 1st and 2nd gen just wait and you will get all the replies from the 1st gener's.................. they are better riders, higher class and just all around better people because they ride a 1st gen.

Those things are junk.........I had them on my Venture when I bought it, switched to Venom, then I added the V Star 1300 to my garage, 404 on the rear, didnt get 7000 miles out of it, junked that tire and now on Shinko, got 10,000 + miles on it, getting it replaced with another Shinko. Dunlop changed the compound of the 404 to a softer one and ruined the mileage on them.

Time to start planning on making the trip to Memphis, Tn, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We will be making our presentation to the hospital of the monies we have raised this year. I need to get a count of how many are going and which facility they want to tour, the hospital or The Ronald Mc Donald House, both are fantastic places to see.

Regulator/Rectifier close call
DragonRider replied to JoeKanuck's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
That is one of the weak links in the 1st Gens. I had the same thing happen while riding, Muffinman to the rescue, he cut of the burned plugs and soldered them together, never a problem again, when I replaced the tranny in my 83, I bought new snap together plugs and used those instead. Voltmeter shows full charging at 14 volts all the time. Good catch on your part. -
You weren't supposed to beat me there, now, a question, have you been the first one there to any other of the events you have been to?
-
Wow Rick, if you did that you wouldnt have missed that cement truck..........!!!!!!!!

Good reflexes come in handy, sometimes you dont know what you can do till its over and done with, and as far as getting things in order, its never too early to do that, something maybe we should all do.........especially since we have such a dangerous pastime............

I have found a 2009 RSV with a just installed Hannigan Trike kit here locally, they are asking $21,900.00 for it, yet they have a 2006 RSV with the same for 27,900.00. They are closed today, but I am thinking that the 21,900.00 is a typo. If not I may be jumping on it. Couple of pics attached.
