Was this the last weekend to ride for the season?
DragonRider replied to b2dad's topic in Watering Hole
Its never the last ride of the season for me....maybe for Charlene, but I ride year round, just have to wear a few more clothes than normal, but most of my riding during the non riding season is back and forth to work, it always amazes my buddies at work how I can ride in such cold weather. Riding the bike I start out warmer on the bike than if I take my car, it isnt warm in it till I am about 1/3 of the way there. Plus the chilly air wakes me up. On another note, I went for a late afternoon ride yesterday and about 10 miles into it, ran into a strange problem. Came over a rise and ahead I see a stopped car flashing its headlight at me, and I see something big and black in my lane, at the distance I was from it, it appeared to be a very large dog or small horse, wrong on both counts, it was a good sized calf. I rolled to a stop about 10 feet from it and started honking my horn only to have it turn around and stare at me, so I started creeping up on it blowing my horn in short blasts. It moved to the shoulder and stopped then came back on the road in front of me, so I moved closer to him trying to steer him to the other side of the road, he went past the other car and took off into the woods. Should have taken a picture but didnt think about it till after it was over. It a very nice ride interesting to say the least. -
It just goes to show everyone that rock and rollers arent all bad people but go on to do great things in their lives........:clap2:

Get another bike in running condition that you dont have to keep rebuilding, repainting, rejetting, resyncing, etc, etc, etc, too much time spent tinkering and not enough time riding.............:rotfl::rotfl:

I had an SL90 which was the start of Honda's dual purpose bikes, it was a lot of fun and I crashed it several times, and it kept on running, after having it for two years I moved up to a CL350. Now that was an awesome bike, rode it for 3 years, then bought a CB350F, now that was one smooth running bike, wish I still had all three, but cant afford them now. The 350F was the first bike my wife ever rode with me, she has been riding with me ever since. These bikes are identical to the ones I owned. Could be the case, but I think they didnt connect the other brake line to the front brake lever. just dont have any stopping power what so ever when I use the front brakes, I only think one is working, but I will check.

Today I took the time to bleed and flush the clutch and the front brakes, all went well till I tried to bleed the left front caliper on the 93 trike. Pumped up the brake and broke open the bleeder, nothing came out.........so I loosened the brake line at the caliper and fluid came out. The brakes were delinked when it was triked, but evidently they didnt replace the proportioning valve for the front brakes so both would work off of the brake lever. I am in need of one so I can get more braking power to the front, 1 caliper dont work too good on a heavy trike. I guess I will have to check with Skydoc to see if he has one available.
