1. Have you thought about donating here and let me post it in the St. Jude auctions, 100% of the winning bid will go to St. Jude along with all the other monies we receive throughout the year. If your not familiar with what we do, we have already donated over $25,000.00 to St. Jude since 2005. However you choose to do it, its a very worthwhile donation, and thanks for supporting St. Jude.
2. Ok, someone told me they havent been seeing me on the site enough, so I was going to start this anyway, who is ready for some St. Jude Auctions, I have tons of shirts, a few hats, and pins. On another note, if your like the rest of us and strapped for cash due to the economy and just cant find a way to donate or bid on the St. Jude auctions, there is another way to donate. Have some accessory you arent using, part, a computer, tablet, or something you think someone else might find a use for, you can donate that, I will put it up for auction for St. Jude and you have helped the "Kids" at St. Jude. Several members have done that and we were able to add a nice sum to our donation. If you have an item to donate you can pm me and we can work out the handling. You dont need to send the item to me, you will just have to ship it after the auction is over and I will cover the shipping cost. It is also time to start planning for Vogel VI, keep watching and within a week or two I will start posting info for the Tail of the Dragon/Vogel VI.
3. Good to have you back, I sorta thought you disowned us for some reason, dont know what gave me that idea, I thought it was me, but now I know different. Hope I get to see you soon, maybe at MD or Vogel. I know we will cross paths someplace, like I said Good to have you back................Hope it was just winter dulldrums.
4. Have a great day, Happy BIrthday!!!!
5. Same as last time I bet..................:dancefool:
6. Happy Birthday bud, hope you leg is doing better. :clap2:
7. Ditto on what Gil said, that custom made VR belt buckle will make you the envy of all the other members here, knowing it is one of a kind and very very special. And besides you know where the money is going, I bet the kids at St. Jude would even like to see you win.
8. Cool graphics, nice job.
9. Thanks Annie, and to everyone else who is bidding, this is gonna be a good one..........still waiting on Bongo and B2Mom to check in.......................:stirthepot:
10. I will be checking with the hotels in the area in the near future, they have always given us a good rate. I will post with all the info when its done.
11. Its getting close to that special time of year where we start the fund raising for the Kids at St. Jude Children's Hospital. I only have one item up on the auction site so far, but I will soon be adding the Cruisin' for St. Jude t-shirts, hats and pins. So what I have done is to sweeten the pot on the one auction that is currently running and added 2 of each item to that auctions. 2 hats, 2 shirts and 2 pins. These are the new items for 2013. I also have plenty of shirts left from the 2012 effort. And all those shirts gotta go.
12. Patti, I have something up for auction for the Kids at St. Jude, and I think Don would look mighty good sporting this and the envy of all VR members if you were to win this for him, so dont wait for that special occasion and check it out, I think Don would love to have this item and its the only one of its kind. So check it out and start bidding. I will even through some St. Jude t-shirts, hats and pins to go along with it.
13. You can go to BikeBandit.com, they have most everything we need for our 1st Gens. Prices arent to bad and they are brand new parts. I have bought quite a bit of plastic for my 83 from them.
14. Thanks for bringing this back to our attention, I hadn't seen this post. Donation sent, we are family and we help family whenever we can.
15. Donation sent, hope this helps, Charlene and I will keep you in our prayers.
16. If your thinking of an 1100 as a starter, you could go to a V Star 1300, it is just as low as the 1100 is a better bike, its water cooled and fuel injected. I have one I am trying to sell, if your interested it is listed in the classifieds. All 3 bikes mentioned are very easy to ride and handle. Mine has a batwing fairing, hard bags, and a tour pak. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4302&title=2007-v-star-1300-tour&cat=9
17. No, I guess I left out the decimal........ Thanks.
18. Buckshot, aka Gil has graciously donated a special belt buckle to help raise funds for this years donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It is an awesome looking belt buckle. I am hoping to raise big bucks:mo money: with this auction. I will allow this auction to run for several months, if the bidding slows or stops I will give notice that it will be ending to give someone a last chance to bid. This will be posted in the classifieds in St. Jude Auctions. I will also be posting auctions for St. Jude t-shirts, hats and pins. 100% of all money raised at these auctions will be hand delivered to St. Jude Hospital some time after Vogel V in August. Here is a picture of the pic, it will also be posted in the auction listing. I will sweeten the pot on this auction and throw in 2 Cruisin' for St. Jude t-shirts, hats and pins to the winner of this auction. These are the new items for 2013.
19. Again we are famous, we got a mention in the new Cycle World. The Royal Star Venture was listed as the best buy in their monthly article. (This was an article about used best buy.) And Venturerider was mentioned as a good place to go for tech articles and such. You done good Don.
20. Your a mind reader Eck.............how did you know?
21. Not the forum, just the country, going to NOLA to get on a cruise ship with 10 great friends and cousins for a week of fun and relaxation. Let the party begin!!:dancefool:
22. You folks may make fun of cajun speak, but they aint no dummies down there in the bayous of S. La.
23. Randy, I had the same problem, but it was with both shoulders and arms, no hand strength, had to sleep sitting up with my arms elevated, it turned out to be 2 ruptured disks in my neck, had surgery to repair in 2000, still have some aches now and then, but way better than what I was. Hope its not as serious as mine was.
24. I could only vote for one, but I have 1/2, 3/4, and a Full that I wear mostly in cold weather or long distance riding.
25. I have to admit, the Falcons made it one heck of a game and played great. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole game. Hats off to the Falcons for making it that for.
