Washington State University - Room & Board
DragonRider replied to GolfVenture's topic in Watering Hole
Cant help in the room and board situation, but I had to respond to the military portion of your post. You son is an honest to God real life hero, put his life on the line more that most, survived multiple tours in the sand box, and survived being shot. My hats off to him for his service, I wish I could shake his hand like I have done everytime I run into our military service personal in uniform. Thanks to all, but he is special, hope his schooling is as exceptional as his service to our country was. :clap2::clap2::clap2: -
That looks to be about the same size as the one Ediddy picked up in his rear tire a couple of years ago on our way back home from MD. We got lucky on a sunday and were able to plug it and make it all the way back to home. Small things like that can really ruin you day.

This is your last chance to get a t shirt and pin, when these auctions end tomorrow your next chance to get one will be at Vogel. I am saving the rest of the shirts, pins, and hats for Vogel, and you will need to be there to get one, I will be using them for either auctions or door prizes.

Can you make a set for a first gen........I am sure Charlene would like a set on ours.

I can drive down to Warner Robbins and pick them up, I can get Jamie to come with me. Trice, can you store them for a while after they make it to your place.

Only 75 days to Vogel, there is still time to get a cabin at the park, and we have some fair rates at a couple of motels in Blairsville. I have only received a couple of registrations so far and Annie and Alan were the first ones to register, you folks should be ashamed letting the members from furtherst away beat everyone here to the punch. And yes Dan, I know you were the very first one to arrive at the very first Vogel, think you can do it again? You can find the registration forms here.........http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=77459

Only 2 days left to bid on these auctions, bids are really low right now, so you might have a chance to pick up a shirt and a pIn at lower than normal bids. There are 5 days left on the 1st Gen Polo shirt, it only has a couple of bids on it and remember, its one of a kind. ITS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!!! :mo money::mo money:

They finally came by today to talk to us and take some pictures. We should know something in a few days, they have several locations to choose from. Would be so cool to have them use our house for a shoot. The guy that came out said that he paid one homeowner $700.00 just to shoot a scene in their driveway.........Hmm, could be big bucks to use our home.

I doubt he can make it, the 1st gen needs a new front tire and its sitting in my garage on the jack minus front wheel. I know he would love to though.

I now have 2 confirmed buyers for my motorcycles. It took long enuff, but its almost over. Jamie is buying my beloved 1st Gen, and Marilyn, Sarges46's wife is buying my V Star 1300. I have to say this about Marilyn, she is one tough lady she is flying down next month to pick it up and then she is going to ride it back solo all the way to Manitoba, Canada. It will be an awesome ride and one I would think twice about doing. My longest total ride in all my riding years was too Freebird's MD and back to Atlanta, that totaled a little over 1100 miles. My hat is off to her and anyone that undertakes a trip like that. I know Marylin is an accomplished rider, I saw her ride at Vogel a few years back, she is very capable of pulling this off without a problem. It will take me some time to get used to having only one bike, (trike) to ride, but I will cut my expenses down by not having to license and insure 3 bikes. I know both bikes are going to be well cared for and I am so happy they will still be in the VR family, and I am sure I will see a lot of the 1st Gen since it will be staying local to me right here in Newnan , and I am sure I will still be wrenching on it when and if it needs it..

All you have to do is mention that you are a VR member and they will give you the discount. They are good people, it only took about 6 days when I ordered mine. About pricing, cant help you there, when I ordered mine they were a little cheaper, I think I got them for $82.00 or somewhere in that neighborhood, my memory aint what it used to be............. -
Got your message about bike, sent you my phone numbers, call me and lets make a deal. Or send me a pm and lets work something out. I hate seeing it sit.

If you don'T have a Cruisin" for St.Jude t-shirt yet, there is still plenty of time left to place your bid on one, and there is also a classic Venture Polo shirt up for auction, its one of a kind, and when its gone, I dont think there will be anymore. Remember this is for the "Kids" at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Help us, help St. Jude, help the "Kids". http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=15 IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!!

Don that was the very first gun I ever bought right after I got married. It was a sweet little gun and I loved going out and shooting it. The ammo was dirt cheap, even in 22 mag. Thats all I ever shot out of it. Wish I still had it. I traded it for a Colt 38 Super along with a little cash of course.

I have received at least 10 of those notices in the last week. I never ordered anything and never clicked the link. What I would do is copy and paste the number then go to the DHL site to track it, and of course no such number.

Every time we go to Colorado to ski we always make the trip to Mesa Verda, its an awesome place to see how the Indians lived a long time ago. It never ceases to amaze me.

Miles was this the same driver that knocked your bike over?? By the way how bad is the damage, I didnt see any followup after you posted your ordeal.
