  2. My radio is acting up and just about completely out. Anybody have a spare they could part with. Sure hope I can get it replaced before Vogel. If not I will have to listen to cassettes. That still works, it just the tuner and the on/off control with the headset button that I need.

  6. Ok, today was the last day for mail in of early registrations, so if you plan on coming please let me know, and you can do your registration when you arrive. No late fee. Right now I only have 25 registrations in hand............may have to cut down on the food order..........

  8. If you want to meet a bunch of great folks, think about coming to Vogel. Click on the link below. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=77459
  9. If its only misfiring on one plug, then plugs and wires should cure it. I will bring my spark plug socket to make sure we have one, and I will show Mike how to change them while I am handling registration. He may have to do all the work, depends on how busy we get. I will be arriving around 11:00 am. Its not really a hard job, just tedious because of where the plugs are located.
  10. Patricia, is the bike running bad? We will be riding the Dragon on Thursday, so if the work needs to be don it would have to be on Wed. If its running ok, I wouldnt worry about it till after the ride, then there would be more time to do it.
  11. Has anyone moved their trunk on their 93 VR. Its not as easy as it is on the 83. That one was easy just move the rack back and done. On the 93 the rack has three attachment points and they are all on a different level, whereas on the 83 they were all on the same level on top of the rack. I have an idea but want to see what others have done.
  12. Wishing my best friend, soulmate, lover and wife a very happy birthday. 13. Patrick, thanks for the patches, look great and a great way to remember a passed VR member. Jamie and I will wear them proudly..........
  14. There is no actual host city, we are located at Vogel State Park 11 mile from Blairsville. Everything will originate from the park. The motels that are offering us special rates are located in BLairsville. The info for them is on the info page. This link gives you all the info you need. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=77459
  15. Tom, havent received one from you yet.
  16. Its always been the 3rd weekend of August, since Vogel 2. Just dont have the numbers like we normally do. I normally have close to 35-40 registrations at this time, but not this time. Oh well hope we have a lot of last minute arrivals.
  17. I was going to message you about the parts, would you rather me pick them up from you?
  18. Only 23 days till Vogel............I am getting a little nervous, more than I am excited, still dont have the numbers of registrations I usually have at this time..............:bang head:
  19. I aint belonging to no Harley group.................... :stirthepot:
  20. Could there possibly a Harley or Victory coming to your stable soon............Will Freebird come to his senses and just keep riding his current ride............my money is on him not being able to part with his trusty steed.
  21. Got it and your all set...............
  22. Got an email from the old guy a couple of days ago, so I know he is still kicking, who knows, he may show up at Vogel, He did that at the last Vogel and surprised everyone.
  23. Thats right, only 25 days left to Vogel, you still have plenty of time to get your registration in before the Aug 1, deadline for early registration. After that you will need to take care of that when you arrive. If you havent been to Vogel, Tail of the Dragon, you are missing out on some very good riding, eating, and meeting a lot of great VR members. Follow the link below to get more info on this semi-annual event. Who knows this could very well be the last Vogel for a while. If the next one happens it will be in 2015. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=77459
  24. Around here .22 is almost impossible to find. I have more luck getting 9mm and 45. I still have to time it just right at the Wallymart. They get theirs in the afternoon around 6pm and if you wait till the next morning its all gone. Seems the .22 is first to sell out. But we have a new Academy opeing this weekend, I will be there and see what I can get. You cant have too much ammo these days, who know when the zombies are going to attack...................LOL.:rotfl:
  25. Everyone knows I ride a lot and when a new guy started about a year ago, he inquired as to who owned the bike, and he was directed to me. Nice guy, very big guy, never ridden a bike in his life and he is in his fifties. His family all ride and wanted him to ride. But for some reason he came to me to inquire about how hard is it, what should I start out on, the normal questions a newbie asks. I advised him to start out on something small and used, and to first take the riders course offered at the local Hog dealer, well he followed some of my suggestions, the one about the riding course, but not about small and used. His first bike is a big ole full dress Ultra Classic. It took him quite some time to ride it to work, he was pretty nervous about riding it 65 miles one way to work. He has had it about a year now and so far so good. Havent had the chance to ride with him yet but I have observed him and he seems to be a fairly decent rider. I am just glad this story didnt end like the above mentioned story.
