I guess it's all part of the aging process, but everything the docs have been doing for me give me relief, glad I am not seeing the same docs as Yammer. hang in there Dan, we are pulling for you and your family.

Well I have been x rayed, mri-ed and just about everything else they can do to keep getting my co-pays and finally getting some relief for my back and neck pain. I am a candidate to have the nerves in my back burned where the pain is coming from and as soon as this shot wears off in a month or two I will have that done. The surgery will be on my neck to fuse c4/c5-c5/c6 and remove the disks and bone spurs, had this done once 13 years ago on other disks below these. My vertabrae are degenerating badly and some may have to be removed completely and replace with spacers. Dec. 13th is the day, just happens to be a Fri too...........was the earliest he had open, gee I wonder why nobody wanted surgery that day??? So glad its goint to be winter soon and I won't miss being on the bike too much.:crying: He did tell me this was not going to be as easy to get over as the first tiime I had it done, so didnt ask the question about resuming riding, guess I will wait till its over to find that out so I dont have to dwell on it.

Especially after last nites embarrassment on national prime time...................Geaux Saitns.

In a few hours my trip down the road to getting my back and neck all fixed up is starting. Going in at 11:00 am for outpatient treatment to get my medial nerve block on my lower back, If that provides relief the next step is to burn the nerve ends so they dont transmit pain back to my brain. If that doesn't work, we are looking at 3 different procedures, requiring surgery that will need to be taken. 2 are on my lower back in the area of L5, where I have spinal stenosis, they will need to cut and free up the nerve there, the next one can be done at the same time and that is fusion on another vertebrae that is slipped. If that is done, I will not be able to return to work at my present job. The third is fusion in my neck, right above where I had fusion in 2000. I am going for another MRI on my neck tomorrow so the Dr. can better see what is going on, the X-ray already shows that is needed, but he wants a more detailed look. Then back to the Dr. next Tuesday to get the final verdict on the neck. Please include me in your prayers, I now know how Charlene felt just before she had all of her surgeries a couple of years ago.

My whole body hurts from it.......neck, back , but, you name it, it hurts...............cant wait for retirement, looks like it might be a littler earlier than I expect.

Missed work yesterday and left early today due to the extreme pain in my neck. Went to the Dr, xrays taken, and looks like some more surgery on my neck to fuse 2 vertabrae just above the 2 that were fused in 2000. He still wants to have an MRI, so after that is done we will have to get down to some serious discussion about my future, work wise that is, who knows I may spend the last days before retirement out on disability...............And How Was Your Day??

Congrats Peggy, I know how excited you are, we have 3 grandsons and are about to welcome our 1st grand-daughter in Jan. We cant wait...................

Retirement is just around the corner, and things are going downhill, first I am looking at some back problems that need to be addressed, next Wed, having a medial nerve block done to see if the next procedure would work, if it does, wont be needing surgery on my back, but in the meantime, my neck has started acting up, had surgery there in 2000, and everthing was good up untill a few weeks ago when it started hurting, now its affecting my arms and hand strength, so back to the Dr. tomorrow, guess another MRI and xrays coming up again. Same symptoms as then, so it ain't looking good right now.........:bang head:........I HATE GETTING OLD!!!!!!

Check your time on your computer if it is ahead by a couple of months or so, you can get this error, as those certificates expire and are reissued and if the dates dont match, you get that error message.

This may shock some but others, maybe not, but if you know my wife very well, it will. I am getting ready to have back surgery that will put me down for a few months, which means no work, no riding, not much of anything, and out of the blue Charlene says she wants me to teach her how to ride the trike..............when she first mentioned it, I was speechless, I had to ask her again, because I didnt think I heard her right, but I did. So it looks like she will be learning how very shortly. Well one worry I wont have is her dropping it.......:no-no-no:..........

Hope your surgery goes well, had mine done in April, much better now, going to have surgery on my back very soon................it never ends........one thing leads to another...........:bang head:
