It that time of year when people love to celebrate with adult beverages, we all know we shouldn't drink and drive, and to make a point of it, while surfing my email and yahoo came across this video that makes it pretty clear what can happen when drinking and driving are mixed. Please take a couple of minutes to watch this video and pass it along. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6kUKG6RP5k]Drunk GT driver screws up big time - YouTube[/ame]

How is Tom doing? Have they discharged him yet. Its going to be tough, but if my wife could handle it I am sure Tom can. They sent me home on Sat after my surgery, mine wasnt as complicated as Tom's, so wish him well for me and we will be praying for him.

Received a copy of paperwork for my short-term disability that was sent to my work and the Dr. has me out for 12 weeks ending March 7. I knew I would be out for a while, but didnt expect to be out for 12 weeks. I just hope I can get over the discomfort and soreness, that I don't remember experiencing last time I had this surgery, but I didn't get any plates or screws then, so I assume that is whats causing the soreness. Nights have been tough, and the days tougher, I cant seem to get into a comfortable position no matter what I do. Part of the aging process I guess. Looks like riding is out of the questions also. Sure am glad it is winter, don't know if I could survive 12 weeks of no riding.:crying:

Best place to be, still have some hurt but not the excruciating pain right after I came out, that was the worst pain I have ever felt, and the pump really didnt help much, I made them let me get out of bed as soon as I was back in my room and sitting up did the trick, I staid in that chair from about 4 pm to 9:30 pm. Didnt sleep much when I did I keep having the same nightmare over and over again about work. I think that was worse than the pain, why couldnt it have been about a pretty young nurse. Speaking of nurses I had some of the nicest nurses and techs, whenever I touched my call button for anything they answered in seconds by phone and where there within a minute. Every time you press one of the call buttons it goes directly to their communication device the hospital provides for just that purpose, really cool. I want to thank everyone here for their well wishes and prayers, they meant a lot to me. And especially to Cow Puc for posting his adventure at Vogel, that made my day, when I need to laugh the most ole Puc came through for me. I was still pretty doped up on drugs when I came in through the garage yesterday afternoon and dead battery and all I swear I thought my trike winked its left blinker at me...trying to tell me she wants out of the garage........but I think I know better, she can only wink her right signal not her left.........................

I got good news just now, going home, but what really made my day was being able to read the rest of the story. Thank you for the kind words, but it's not just our little committee, it's every one who pitches in, donates, and everything else that makes it a success. Even you and Tippy, with your article you will have moe people intrigued as to what Vogel is. Thanks my friend we look forward to meeting up with you again

I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 am tomorrow, Friday the 13th, for surgery on my neck. Hopefully all will go well and when I wake up the pain will be gone. Charlene will be updating my status after it is over, I dont think I will be cognizant enough to type let alone put together a post that could be understood, as I will be self medicating after the surgery................,Dont know how long I will be in, but I do know I will be out on short term disability for 6-8 weeks. On a side note, Charlene found out today she needs a knee replacement and she is not to happy about that.. So looks like our surgery list is getting longer instead of shorter. 2 more for her and 1 more for me. Getting old really sucks..........:bang head:

Good luck with your surgery, my wife had the same and also rods and screws, she is better but still needs more, and I am having my neck surgery tomorrow, having disks removed and a vertabrae or 2 removed also. We must be special, having our surgery on Fri. 13th. At least my surgeon wont be rushed, I am his only patient all day. Hope your recovery is swift and full.

When I went to my one and only M/D, which I believe was in 2009 one of the members was there with his trailer/casket in matching paint to his blonde 1st Gen, I was told he even sleeps in it when he goes camping.............

Wow is an understatement.........looks like more fun that a 1st Gen. Thanks for posting.:thumbsup2:

Tell Wes congratulations, it takes a lot of will to save up for what you want, and knowing Wes, he proably saved every penny he earned. Have fun and be careful, there are a lot of drivers out there that shouldnt be.

My V Star 1300 was an awesome bike, good ride, great motor, plenty of power and very smooth. Only put 30,000 miles on it and never had a lick of problem with it. Sort of sorry that I sold it, but if I ever wanted to buy another cruiser v twin it would be the V Star 1300 Deluxe. Very nice looking bike and well equiped.

Bought my first 83 in 04, sold it this year to Jamie aka Wingman, I had it for almost 9 years, I have owned my 93 Venture Motortrike for a little over a year.

International Rally Grand Prize Suggestions
DragonRider replied to Freebird's topic in Watering Hole
I wouldn't call that a 50/50, only one person is getting 50%, if true the other 50 would go to the SAF, which wouldnt be bad for building that fund back up.:mo money: -
