someone else posted this a couple of weeks ago, price way to high, and liable to cause distracted riding.....................not for me.:no-no-no:

I too thought this was going to be another funny story, but alas it wasnt. Hope they find what ails you, I do some of that stuff, but no weird smells. I start to do something and then forget what it was i was going to do, but old age is definitely the culprit here. Best to you during these times.

Is that what I have to look forward to during retirement.................hope you pain stays gone after the meds wear off.................... -
For those holes under the lid, go to your local auto parts store and buy some plastic plugs that will fit in the holes, not so ugly as the sticker and much easier on the pocketbook that a repaint. I did than on my top box and dont mind the look of a couple of black plugs there.

Oct. 4, 2014 we will be meeting in W. Memphis, Ark. to make our yearly trek over to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tn. to donate our monies raised this year. We will be meeting at the Flying J/Pilot Truck stop in W. Memphis, it sits at the junction of I-55 and I-40 so very easy to find. We will be meeting there between 10:30-11:00 am and have lunch, then proceed over to the hospital in Memphis to make our donation and take a tour. Looking forward to seeing some new faces that haven't made it before and lots of old friends that are regulars at this event. If you haven't been to St. Jude Children's Hospital, you are in for a very touching and moving experience. I don't know of anyone who has been there that doesn't come away feeling moved by the experience. So please come on out, meet some new friends and enjoy one last ride before old man winter sets in. You can come in a cage if you like, just come out and help us support "The Kids" of St. Jude. We have a very nice donation and I am sure it will get a little bigger after we meet. I still have some shirts and pins if anyone wants to donate there.

I have an idea that this group as good as they are about raising funds for St. Jude, that we could also help out The ALS Foundation. If you dont know what ALS is, it is the disease that struck down Lou Gehrig, it is aslo know as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Here is what I propose. We set up a pledge page here that everyone wants to participate in can pledge any amount they want, If you want to pledge $1.00 or $5.00 for every member that takes the challenge and post a video of it here for all to see. It will be fun and beneficial at the same time. Now you cant just pledge to the cause you also have to take the challenge yourself. If anyone is interested please post to this thread. We will set a time limit for the pledge's, when it is closed the pouring can begin.

You are right about the members of VR, they are special. Cool shirt, havent had the time to read the article yet, but anything about WWII has my interest, I had several uncles who served and one who died in the Philippines during the war. Now I have a question, what is that long gun in the scabbard. Is it an M1 Garand or a Thompson, would really like to see it. Keep up the great posts and I would also like to see pics of all the bikes and scooters in your garage. That one with the rear box on it looks interesting.

Has anybody tried a Shinko 777 either front or rear or both?
DragonRider replied to syscrusher's topic in Watering Hole
I had them on my 83, which I sold to Jamie, I think they are still on the bike, I liked the way they handled and they got better wear than some of the other tires I had, especially the Dunlops. -
Must be something in the air, people thinking about selling their trike, the thought has crossed my mind about selling mine, but havent made a firm decision yet, waiting on Charlene to heal up and see if she is able to ride.

Looks like another careless driver violated his right of way.........this is happening way to often. I checked the members list as the bike is a Gen 2 MK II, but he isnt listed as a member. Prayers for his recovery. http://www.kptv.com/story/26249611/patriot-guard-rider-seriously-hurt-in-crash-on-highway-51?fb_action_ids=10203516774457369&fb_action_types=og.recommends&fb_ref=.U-j_BzLvPVU.like&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=[760873053969392]&action_type_map=[%22og.recommends%22]&action_ref_map=[%22.U-j_BzLvPVU.like%22]

Here it is.........at last.........!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words here and on FB, Don. There are quite a few others that helped make it such a success, if I had a year to name all of them, I doubt I could do it, the memory aint what it used to be. I never dreamed it would be such a success, but just like Vogel, build it and they will come. I have no special skills or talent for doing what I do, its just pure luck that things go the way they do. If there wasn't such a great site, with great people, fouinded by a great guy by the name of Don, none of this would have happened, so you need to pat yourself on the back too! -

I have finall receied confirmation from St. Jude Children's Hospital, that our plaque is now in place and Ventureriders are recognized contributors to St. Jude. It took a while to get it done but its finished and placed in the hospital. I have attached a copy of the picture of the plaque and a copy of the letter from St. Jude thanks Ventureriders for their continued support. To date Ventureriders have donated over 35,000.00 to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Thanks to everyone who has supported this cause over the years.

My daughter just called me and told me a dear friend of hers she went to nursing school with and studied with was killed in a motorcycle accident here in Newnan, Ga. Please pray for the family and friends. I barely knew him, but he was a fun loving guy and was working as a nurse in the E R at the hospital here, knowing and seeing what happens to bikers, I am sure he was not showing off or doing something stupid. Havent seen any news report of it yet, but as soon as I do I will post it. His name was Billy Dedrick. Here is the link to the story. http://www.times-herald.com/local/20140803-Accident-Marion-Beavers-Web2014-08-03T07-32-57

Its always their fault, they are nothing but trouble makers, dont know why I like them so much..................LOL

I have been watching some of your vids and I was wondering if you made those using the sport cam you won at Vogel. The picture quality is great and if it is, I am gong tohave to get me one of them. Really hated missing out on going to the IR, but crap happens, hope to see you again soon.
-
We had planned on being there, but Charlene had to have knee replacement surgery on July 3. She is still recovering from it and doing PT. I have not ridden the trike but a couple of times this season, was hoping to ride it to the IR. Once Charlene is back on her feet and I am fully retired as of Aug. 29, 2014. hope to start riding again, but it will be a while for Charlene. Looks like everyone had a good time by reading the comments and I missed seeing some special people like Sarge and Marylin, Puc and Tippy, just to name a few.
