I don't know what you are doing specifically, but there is a product called starboard and it is like a plastic, comes in different thicknesses, works like wood, is very strong, and resists UV. Just look for a dealer in your town, or look it up on the internet, it is great stuff and have bben using it is the marine industry for years.

Well, I now have my bike up in Massachusetts, going to be here till September, looking forward to riding here in the North-East, Trailered the bike up here from Fla, two trucks and two u-hauls, left on Fri, couldn't stand it today, let my deckhand drive my vehicle, so took it off the trailer and rode it the last 200 miles, my buddies truck was pooping out, and it was just a beautiful day, TILL- some a*#hole alomost ran me into the wall on the inside on 195N in New Bedford, Mass., came across three lanes, talking on his cellphone, never even saw me, yep, nothing like a rush of adrenalin, and your heart pumping to make you feel alive, reminds you why you have to stay on the ball constantly when riding, if I had been daydreaming it would have been all over. So now, here I am in Wareham, MA, getting excited about the summer to come, and LIFE is good.:cool10::cool10:

Hi folks, looking fo some ideas on how to secure my venture in the back of a big u-haul. I will not have time to ride it up to the northeast, but I am drivinga big u-haul up. There is no tie-downs on the floor to secure to, there is tie-downs on the sides but I don't trust em. Seen a few pictures of a ride-on platform that I could put in the back, but they are pretty expensive. any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Here is another option, and one I am currently looking at to get my bike up north. The name of the business is "Fuzzy Bottom" and he hauls boats from S Florida to Cape Cod, I need to talk to him this week about hauling my bosses 34' Venture, kinda funny the boat is called a Venture, up the coast and he hauls bikes in the back of his truck. A good friend has used him many times to haul his bikes without a problem. His number is 508 353-6559, and he is supposed to be pretty resonable in his prices.

Yeah, this southern living is good. Just got back from Mexico last week and finally got to ride on Sunday. First ride in two months. Was suppposed to get togather with Brake-pad but my wife was a pain on Saturday so I couldn't make any plans, and finally got to go riding on Sunday afternoon, went atround Lake-O, had a enjoyable ride, and when I got home, the wife had gone to stay at her mothers, great way to end the day!!! She finally talked to me this afternoon, I wonder what she is going to say when I tell her I am going to Daytona this weekend??? Gonna get real interesting!!!

Way to go, you can do it. I quit 26 months ago, and although I put on 20 pounds, I feel much better. And the COPD thing scared me into quitting, wanted to be able to do things when I get older. Plus the money I save pays for my bike habit. And remember, you can not just have ONE!!!!!! Good Luck!!

Can tell you are new to this forum, what You have at your fingertips here is access to a great group of people that love their bikes, love riding, are willing to share their knowledge and help out a fellow rider, and treat a newbie with respect. You WILL NOT find that anywhere else. If they offer to help, it is because they want to see other people enjoying the riding experience, and are not looking to take advantage any anybody. NO other place the VENTURERIDER.ORG:cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10:

But I really do miss my bike!!!!

I have to say- I am here in mexico with the boat, and the weather is beautiful, had a boatload of gorgeous women on the boat drinking Margaritas, in thongs, with-out their tops on, and life is really good. Would post pictures but I don't thinkthey would allow them on this forum.:cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10: and now I am going to meet them at the bar to go dancing!!!!:thumbsup: What is a snowflake?

There is a lot of additives out there that promise you the world. None of them seem to make a difference. I can only hope the stuff I put in my bike before I left in January works, cause my bike has been sitting, and I wonm't be seeing it till I get back in March.
