I had the same problem and cleaned up the spark plug caps. When you take the cap off the plug, there is a brass piece the unscrews inside the cap, behind that is the resistor, don't mess with that, and then there is a spring, and you will find heavy corrosion on the end of that spring, clean it up the end of the spring and put it back togather, and see how it goes.

Just this past month Marathon Gas Stations in Palm Bch County started selling 90 octane, ethanol free gas. It is aim.ed at the boating crowd but everybody is taking advantage of it. The store clerk said they are having trouble keeping the tank full, and guess what? It is cheaper then 87octane with ethanol by about 7 cents, go figure. so any of you folks in the south fla area, check your local Marathon station on the coast, you might be pleasently surprised. And one last thing, my bike runs better, but can't tell you how mauch better the mileage is, right now it seems to be about 4 mpg better, but ask me in a month after I have run a few more tankfuls thru the bike. Also I talked to a guy who works for Sunaco gas stations, he says that they are gearing up for............15% ethatnol!!! Says the government is getting close to mandating it, don't know about you, but my feelings is that ethanol is C##P, pure and simple, and don''t know how it is going to affect these bikes, can't be good, cause my bike runs way better on the gas without it

House Bills on Ethanol (hope this is not considered political)
Capt-D replied to wes0778's topic in Watering Hole
Erthanol is just plain S###. Wonder how much the politicians are making by shoving it down our throats. -

Your daughter is about to learn what work is all about!!! I have been involved in running private yachts up to 140' and the stewardess's work long and hard when guests are on the boat. She will also make good money, as tips normally run from a thousand up per week when chartered. The other good thing about being on the boats is you get to travel on the bosses dime. Hope she doesn't get seasick, tell her to check out the scopalamine patches, as they seem to work best. I wish her good luck and safe travels.

When you get down here give me a call, I am in Port St Lucie, not far from Titiusville, and there is lots of good riding to be done. Also in March, if you are still around there are a few folks puttin togather a Key West ride and looks to be a quite a few people interested so that can be a fun get-togather. as far as rides, A1A on the east coast is a nice ride, and the ride around Lake Okeechobee is also good for a day, but watch yourself on HWY 27 going through Moore Haven on the west side of Lake O, they pay their bills with speeding tickets, and the speed limit is 35, PERIOD... and also watch yourself on the turnpike, if you have to stop and pay the toll, extremely OILY at the toll boths, so be careful.

Hi folks, I helped a friend get a job several months ago that really worked out well for him, and in appreciation he bought me a new F4 windshield for my bike. Well, one good deed deserves another, so if there is a member out there that needs a windshield for their bike let me know and I will send it to you. My oem shield is in good shape, just the normal wear and tear oof 25,000 miles.

I am interested in going but when and where? haven't been online like normal so I am kinda behind in what is going on.

Put togather a date and let me know. I know Brake-pad will also do it if he is free. I am in Port St Lucie, so let me know, would be a lot of fun.

Hi folks, haven't been on like I would like, dont have good internet where the boat is docked. Anyway, looking at heading south from Masachusetts at the end of October, and was thinking of going by Gettysburg, have always wanted to go and it is on the way, figure I would getr there on a Friday evening, visit the park on Saturday, and then continue on my trip south to Florida on Sunday. Anybody close by that would like to get togather, would be fun to meet up with some folks, and see the the park, always more fun to do something like this with friends. This is just pre-planning, it is hard for me to plan ahead, leaving Mass with the boat on the 10th of October, and a lot depends on how the trip south goes, and then I have to get the bosses suburban south with a loaded u-haul, and then............I fly back up north and get my bike. Anybody interested let me know, and we can start planning a get-togather.

Talked to Tom today, he sounded good. He was amazed at the generosity and kindness of the members from this site. THERE IS DEFINITELY NO-OTHER MOTORCYCLE SITE LIKE THIS ONE!!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana: He said he was amazed at what members from this site are doing for him, and doesn't know how to thank them, because they have done so much. He also told me of the bear and the flowers, said it was a big surprise and really helped lift his spirits. You folks are definitely one great group of people!!!!!!!:cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10:- 136 replies
