Had a baclava on with full helmet, head still got cold, not bad, just enough to be chilled. probably would help if I could grow some hair on the top of my head.

Just did a 1500 mile trip a week ago in 40 degree weather and all I had was tha heated vest, what a difference, would have frozen my but off, heated gear is great!! Wouldn't mind having the full set, but then I would get spoiled. One question though, how do you keep the top of your head warm.

and while they are at it, how about a new updated touring bike, with better lighting, better brakes, better instrumentation, fuel injection, better shock..........

The Mobile 10/30 high mileage synthetic is not a energy conserving, I have been using it for the past couple changes and everything seems okay.

Welcome to the site, you will find everything you need to know about your bike here. I would highly recommend reading up on how to set your bike for the best ride, these bikes are heavy and fine tuning them greatly helps with the ride and control. You will also find everything you need to know on how to troubleshoot and repair any problems you might encounter, and members on this site are always happy to help out.

Spark plugs. Do I remove the tank?
Capt-D replied to BigLenny's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Depending on the miles, a good time to clean up the spark plug cap, the spring in there gets pretty corroded. There is a thread that explains how to do it, but not sure how to bring it up. -
!You can definitely tell where people are from when you ride in cold weather. Tom, who is from Conn, had a leather jacket and t-shirt, blue-jeans, tennis-shoes, open faced helmet, and some crappy gloves that he must of got from the good-will store, and never complained about the cold. (45 degrees) Me, on the other hand, I had thermals, top and bottom, 2 heavy long sleeved t-shirts, leather jacket with liner, scarf, 3/4 helmet with face shield, heavy riding boots, and insulated gloves; guess who grew up in Florida! those electric jackets are looking better all the time, and how about heated grips and seats anyway, was a great ride, wish y'all could of been there.

Has any one here used MRF for roadside assistance and what is your thoughts on them. I am looking at putting a lot of miles on my bike this year and it would be nice to know that there is somebody you can call when you are far from home in case you run into a problem.
