  1. I thought he did it on purpose and was a great idea myself.
  2. Ya'll are not far away from me come on over and we can have a party.
  3. Rex came by with his pump and plug kit I will post a pic of the culprit when I can get to a computer I can upload to. If it still has air in it in the morning I will just have to find someone with the tire in stock to put it on.
  4. Thanks and of course you caught me stuffing my face.
  5. I will keep my flat tire, glad she was not hurt more keep an eye on it anyway.
  6. Tried to pump it up to see if it would hold air overnight and if it did would ride it to Yamaha of Louisville but my 9 dollar HF pump would not handle it. Have had a couple people call with suggestions and will go with those. I think I am just going to take a shower and worry about it in the morning.
  7. Let's see rained all day Thursday, fuel pump and trailer lights went out Friday, laptop died Saturday and today on the way to my daughters from MD I have a flat on the rear in Jeffersonville IN at least I was able to make it to a motel staying at town place suites and using the lobby computer. Any one close to Louisville know a shop I can have it towed so I can get the tire replace? My cell is on my profile and I will check back here in an hour or so.
  8. I guess we are riding in a Tropical storm now
  9. I am interested in the old one.
  10. Not worried about MD weather it's the weather getting there that is questionable now.
  11. I would reccommend you do the carb synch again.
  12. Trying to decide what I am going to do after MD, I may ride back down and just ride the mountains for a week or I may go to Il and see the grandkids, however with all the flooding they have it may not be an option.
  13. Did you resynch your carbs? Should not have to rejet.
  14. MUSC Dental School says they are 20% less, I will have to see what they can do for me.
  15. I may have to ease over your way on the trip back.
  16. Glad yall are ok
  17. Change of plans I am staying at my sister's house in Blacksburg so if any one wants to meet it will be at I-77 WV exit 9 at Cracker Barrell 0630 then leave 0730 on the 7th. WV exit 146 around 1000 for a gas stop then jumping off 77 onto 250 (gas and lunch) then 58 on up. Leaving Goose Creek Thursday (6th) around 0700 going up US 52 to 8(NC) to US 460(VA) into Blacksburg http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner/share/547363
  18. Just went through this last year. Since it is intermittent it may be hard to find unless it quits all out. 1 check the connection at the rectifier make sure no burns or dirty connectors. 2 check the white connector going to the stator under the battery tray this is a weak point lots of people have just soldered the wires. 3 check your ground wires going to the battery both of them 4 if all of these are good check the stator voltage 5 if stator voltage is good check the voltage at the battery Mine turned out to be the stator, however it is usually one of the connections.
  19. Above and beyond
  20. I talked to someone a year or two ago that had a similar idea but never did hear how it worked out.
  21. Pain to get too but not too bad it is behind your radiator on the bottom of the bike. If you take the lowers off it is easier to get to. It's held in by two 10MM head screws. Check all of your connections to the regulator before you change it then see if you still get the brightening. The regulator plug and stator plug under the battery are common culprits in charging but are normally associated with loss of voltage.
  22. Regulator is probably going bad just replaced mine because that was happening.
  23. Like natural Bridge in Va?
  24. Mike, Thanks I dropped them a message will see what they say. I am strongly leaning towards doing nothing at this time and if i need dentures later that will be the route I go. I can't understand why dental work cost so much.
