  1. I know leaving it on ACC overnight will kill the battery, but don't know about leaving it on with the all the lights on but I would think that it could kill it alot quicker. If it starts and runs fine when you get home I would say that is what hapened.
  2. Tom, I would be game to share it with you, it would be me the wife, the tent and my trailer. .
  3. I like to ride up that way when the leaves are falling just have to watch out for pine cones they hurt.
  4. Thanks sounds like a good ride.
  5. I think I know where a couple of those are, sorry I did not get back down to Natural Bridge in Va went to see the grand kids instead.
  6. I rode and got wet, but after my trip last week I think I can handle a little rain.
  7. Can't be, no cassette player.
  8. Someone had one of these at MD used their trailer lid as a speaker.
  9. Did not know about the camping thing but now that we have done MD and survied we are looking forward to camping out at Vogel.
  10. Hope it gets better, deffintly get the second opinon.
  11. Nice job on the bike, glad you are back on the road. Planning on coming down your way soon.
  12. My furl pump failed last week on the way to MD and I now have a Mr. Gasket Fuel pump there is a thread on how to replace also you can bypass the pump and run the bike as long as you stay above half a tank I rode all the way from Va to Oh that way.
  13. Wish I had a month, do not have to be back till Monday. 2307.2 miles so far, clutch started slipping this morning guess I will call Earl when I get home and order a clutch too.
  14. We are going to Warner Robbins sometime in July. If you have not found someone by then I can do the carbtune. Been thinking about getting a color tune also.
  15. Today was the first day outside of MD I did not get rained on most of the day.
  16. Well today was the first day I did not ride in the rain all day and after 489 miles it did well on the Interstate and in the mountains, just have to figure out which one was not firing now. All warmed up this morning when I fired it up, will pull the plugs when I get home and see if I can tell. Thanks for all the input.
  17. Been scary praying for everyone's safety.
  18. I had the fuel pump go out coming up and we replaced it at MD with the Mr. Gasket so maybe I have a pinched or bent fuel line or the pump is not cutting it. I really have to roll on the throttle going up hills.
  19. 1500 hundred miles into my first trip pulling a trailer and I am really disappointed in the decrease in performance of the bike while pulling. 70 is about the best I can do on the interstate and have to downshift almost every hill. I was expecting some decrease in performance and an increase in stopping distance but not to this degree in power. Gas mileage has only dropped a few MPG. I am curious if this is normal or maybe I have other issues with the bike?
  20. Guess they finally ran out of parts made in 1999.
  21. If it is clicking that much you are not getting fuel to the pump. Pull the line off the fuel pump and see if you are getting any fuel when it clicks. May be a pinched line or fuel filter.
  22. I bet it was a pond monster claw that got my tire.
  23. I learned the 9 dollar compressor from HF will not pump up a flat motorcycle tire, I will either get the co2 cartridges or a better pump. The way the piece of metal went in the tire the plug did not seal it very well I think it tore the inside of the tire.
