My furl pump failed last week on the way to MD and I now have a Mr. Gasket Fuel pump there is a thread on how to replace also you can bypass the pump and run the bike as long as you stay above half a tank I rode all the way from Va to Oh that way.
Wish I had a month, do not have to be back till Monday. 2307.2 miles so far, clutch started slipping this morning guess I will call Earl when I get home and order a clutch too.
We are going to Warner Robbins sometime in July. If you have not found someone by then I can do the carbtune. Been thinking about getting a color tune also.
Well today was the first day I did not ride in the rain all day and after 489 miles it did well on the Interstate and in the mountains, just have to figure out which one was not firing now. All warmed up this morning when I fired it up, will pull the plugs when I get home and see if I can tell. Thanks for all the input.
I had the fuel pump go out coming up and we replaced it at MD with the Mr. Gasket so maybe I have a pinched or bent fuel line or the pump is not cutting it. I really have to roll on the throttle going up hills.
1500 hundred miles into my first trip pulling a trailer and I am really disappointed in the decrease in performance of the bike while pulling. 70 is about the best I can do on the interstate and have to downshift almost every hill. I was expecting some decrease in performance and an increase in stopping distance but not to this degree in power. Gas mileage has only dropped a few MPG.
I am curious if this is normal or maybe I have other issues with the bike?
If it is clicking that much you are not getting fuel to the pump. Pull the line off the fuel pump and see if you are getting any fuel when it clicks. May be a pinched line or fuel filter.
I learned the 9 dollar compressor from HF will not pump up a flat motorcycle tire, I will either get the co2 cartridges or a better pump. The way the piece of metal went in the tire the plug did not seal it very well I think it tore the inside of the tire.
Nice to meet yall too, wish we had moved around a little faster Sunday and rode down with yall, seems like we just missed a really bad storm yesterday in KY.
New Avon Venom, what stinks is the rear tire was new.
Yamaha of Louisville fixed me up this morning after Spider (Rex) texted me to give them a call. I had forgot how much dealers charge for service and tires but they had me back on the road in a couple of hours and were real nice about everything. I came close to trading my bike in on a 2012 Venture but thought better of it.
Thanks for all the calls, text, posts and e-mails!!!! Made a bad situation a whole lot better

Thanks for all the help on this! AKRefuge and Kevin (don't remember his forum name) replaced my pump while I was doing swr checks and carbtunes at MD. What a great group of folks we have.
