  1. It's in Gary's back yard.
  2. Another option would be to jump over to Charlotte and take 16 all the way up.
  3. One of the roads I grew up riding , It is a good place to have an event, I hosted one a couple years ago about 45 miles up the road and we did the Back of the Dragon and the Python (US 58). The area has several roads like 421 or if you like the gentle sweeping curves you can go up to the Bluegrass trail and 52 over to Big Walker Lookout.
  4. Been about 30 years since I rode in Wi, last time was to Milwaukee for summerfest in 1985.
  5. Vets get a discount at WV Stae Parks also. http://www.wvstateparks.com/packages/packageindex.htm
  6. Had a new guy on board ask me what I was using to get some wax off a door and I told him "just a little elbow grease" he told me had never heard of that so I told him I was low and needed some more so off he went a couple hours later he came back mad as a hornet. I do not think there was anyone on the ship he did not ask until someone finally let it slip what it was.
  7. Look up what parts you want to try at partzilla or one of the other parts sites for both models and see if they have the same part number if they do go for it.
  8. Never been, but sorry to see it go, prayers to the owners. I suppose Ty Pennington can build them a new one like he did in Wild Hogs.
  9. I had this issue and it turned out to be a torn rotator cuff, had several others ride my bike at Vogel a couple years ago and it did fine with them. Anyone else it would have been the bike but oh not me I have to be different.
  10. 1800's must be very rare found an article from 2003 Motoworld and all they talk about is the 1700. http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/2003/06/article/2004-yamaha-road-star/
  11. I have to travel for work in Oct and November so I may not be doing any riding those during that time.
  12. I am out of touch, I thought it was your lovely bride who got the new bike. How do you like the Road Star I was thinking about recommending one to a coworker of mine? I have only ridden one a couple of times so it would be nice to get someone who has more experience on one than I do.
  13. Starting to dip in the 40's by then
  14. I am sure he would not mind if you brought a date.
  15. I know several folks join just for the technical knowledge and do not socialize very much, they pay their 12 bucks a year to use the site and I am fine with that. I did vote and I wish I could get to more events, I usually hit MD and at least two others a year, don't have the time and finances to do much more.
  16. All I can think to say Thanks.
  17. I took them, you will have to come down and get them.

Dad fired it up I got on and down I went, dids not want to get back on it but Dad said "If you don't get back on it now you never will", I think he regretted saying those words till the day he died.
  22. It was a pleasure seeing y'all again and hope to make it over your way one of these day.
  23. I normally greet everyone I meet, however most people on the street either ignore me or just look at me like I lost my mind.
  24. At 160 pounds it would not leave room for much more in the trailer.
