  2. Here is the OEM type connector, it does work just make sure your crimps are good. https://www.denniskirk.com/ricks-motorsport-electrics/rectifier-regulator-wiring-harness-connector-kit-11-114.p218553.prd/218553.sku
  3. Use to live in Key West, be nice to see what has changed.
  4. You can get a new connector and rectifier from the site Earl posted, I have done that and for one bike I got a upgraded R/R and connector from SKYDOC. V/r, Joe Patrick
  5. Do like we did to the guys that kept stealing our TP in the Navy, we cut a roll of TTY paper in half and put it in the holder. That worked pretty well till one of the guys waives came to visit one duty night and had to use the head. She said she would never complain about TP again.
  6. I have no school and I am off from work Dec 22 to 2 Jan so what do we do? Some of the ideas we have discussed are: 1. New York City (never been but expensive) 2. Go see family (same ole thing) 3. Cruise (but is it too late) 4. Train across country (cost/comfort) 5. Something we have not thought of. Comments suggestions?

  9. The thermsistor on the sending unit in the tank has went bad, you can replace the whole thing or just the thermistor. Here is a link to a previous thread about it. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?115479-fuel-reserve-light-and-count-down-timer
  10. Happy No Beard Day, hope it has been a great one.
  11. I swear school gets in the way of everything, my break is 11-17 Oct and was planning on going to the mountains. Thanks for setting this up hope all enjoy.
  12. How often does a belt wear out? Noticed it's not cheap either.
  13. Just remember you don't tug on Superman's cape
  14. I may have mentioned this before but the main reason I bought the Goldwing is my doctor told me with my diabetes I needed to cut down on the carbs so I sold one of my Ventures and bought the Gold Wing. The Wing has more pep than the 2nd Gen, not as much shifting in the mountains when pulling a trailer and easier to get around traffic in the city. It handles like a first gen slow and fast. Since my hip started hurting the Wing is a little more comfortable but not as much room as the 2nd Gen. I rode my 2nd Gen all week this week and I still really enjoy riding it but it seems to weigh a ton compared to the Wing.
  15. Saw an article on the New Gold Wing not sure I like it. http://carsalsobikes.com/2017/09/22/hondas-flagship-tourer-revealed-official-image-leak/
  16. Why are you selling off your bikes?
  17. So why does Florida have one definition for licensing and another for Insurance? http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&URL=0300-0399/0320/Sections/0320.01.html The 2017 Florida Statutes Title XXIII MOTOR VEHICLES Chapter 320 MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSES View Entire Chapter 320.01 Definitions, general.—As used in the Florida Statutes, except as otherwise provided, the term: (1) “Motor vehicle” means: (a) An automobile, motorcycle, truck, trailer, semitrailer, truck tractor and semitrailer combination, or any other vehicle operated on the roads of this state, used to transport persons or property, and propelled by power other than muscular power, but the term does not include traction engines, road rollers, personal delivery devices as defined in s. 316.003, special mobile equipment as defined in s. 316.003, vehicles that run only upon a track, bicycles, swamp buggies, or mopeds.

  19. Just had the same thing happen to me, went back to the dealer and they had not even noticed my spacer on their machine. Thanks all.
  20. Front Tire Dennis Kirk, have to look at my history when I get home to see where I found the rear tire. Looking this morning I cannot find the rear one maybe I was drunk last night.
  21. If Waffle house closes you might as well kiss your butt goodbye.
  22. 23.
  23. I do not have to wonder, half of my relatives did not have electricity or indoor plumbing when I was growing up. I always loved staying at my Aunt Mary's, we would help with the chores, go hunting or fishing. Meals cooked on her gigantic wood stove always seemed to taste better, especially the time my uncle killed the rooster chasing my sister and we had it for dinner. I could have done without the risk of splinters when you went to the bathroom or taking a bath in the cold spring water. Now if I loose cell service I feel inconvenienced, maybe those were not the good ole days but they were much simpler.
