  3. We had a great time today. Good food and great company, looking forward to doing it again soon.
  4. If you add Isopropyl make sure you get pure, rubbing alcohol has soap or other fillers in it.
  5. O'Reilly's auto parts has it for 23 a gallon.
  6. We used one in the lab to clean electronics, we used a special solvent. The only advantage I could find is it broke up the crime between stuff without taken them apart. Do a foil test: Cut a small rectangle of aluminum foil (maybe 1"x3") Fill the cleaner with water Turn it on Dip half the foil rectangle into the water for a little bit (maybe 15-30 seconds, or until you see results) Pull out the aluminum foil. It should have dimples (and possible small holes) through it. The cleaner will break the grime up use a brush or cloth to see if it wipes away eaiser. There are specialized solutions you can buy and there are probally recipes on the net.
  7. Nice shiney blue bottle.
  8. 18.99 a gallon here in Charleston lots on the shelf at Wally World.
  9. If you have the time start on 16 in Jefferson NC and take it all the way to St Mary's it's just a little over 300 miles. My grandmother lived off of 16 in Marion Va and it's a great rode to ride.
  10. Sounds like a winner to me. Joe
  11. 23 fun filled years, last ship was the Gettysburg out of Mayport. Joe
  12. My front tire was cupped so I had it changed two weeks ago and I mistakenly assumed they would change out the vavle, however when I talked to the service manager he said it looked in good shape so he did not change it. Needless to say they are correcting the issue at no cost. I was checking the air pressure yesterday before I went riding and when I took off the tire guage the center of the valve went shooting across the garage. I was thankfull it did not happen at speed. Joe
  13. Had a nice thing happen to me today (not), the valve stem on my front tire separated. I am curious however other than losing all my air is there any symptoms prior to all out failure I should have noticed? It had only been a few days since my last air pressure check. Joe
  14. I guess I am lucky I have 2 Yamaha dealers within 10 miles of my house. Charleston Power Sports likes to talk to you whether you are buying or not and I have been very happy with them. Velocity is a much bigger dealer and are not as personal however I have not had any bad experiences from them. Joe
  15. If you did not adjust the air it could have just been a good bump.
  16. I tried the New Wing, I liked the ride however I can not stretch out my legs as much as on the RSV. Joe
  17. From what I can tell its like the one I had on my 83, looks a little wider. If thats the case its just extra chrome and lights.
  18. I saw a red one in Charleston minus the saddle bags and the guy had 4 into 4 pipes on it also. Not sure if I like it or not seems to defeat the purpose of a touring bike.
