  1. I think I would belive anything a dealer did, one of the dealers here in Charleston said it would cost me $120 :shock3:just to check to see if my tire was in round.
  2. :2cents:Had the same thing happen to my 83 all I did was take it off put it in the kitchen sink and washed it real good with mild dish degergent then put conditioner on it.
  3. I have done so many I just thank God I am still alive. One example long ago: I had bought a new (used bike) and was driving on a gravel road and hit the breaks too hard and you guessed it down I went, the worst damage was a broken mirror and my pride.
  4. Happy to hear she is doing well, our prayers go out to you both.
  5. Does anyone make a 4 into 4 setup?
  6. I am talking about the one with the best shrimp an grits
  7. I need to get off my lazy rear end and go ahead and pay. I have already enjoyed 8 bays of my 15 day trial and especially after my first meet and eat I am hooked.
  8. Monty, Can you send me the reference the only thing I could find Federal says either that is the 2008 revision of the nhtsa regulation? I want to make sure I am legal if I decide to keep the modulator. http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=ecfr;sid=e5e8a36fd7670980debf0442590d4de0;rgn=div2;view=text;node=20071204%3A1.38;idno=49;cc=ecfr;start=1;size=25
  9. Once I figure out how to turn it off, I will aim my head light and see how it looks. The pics defiantly paint a good picture. One thing I have noticed my netural light flashes at the same rate as the modulator so does the modulator put more draw on the system?
  10. So I will find us a place in Charleston
  11. My bike had them when I bought it, low beam only. I am still on the fence whether I like it or not. I was in a group ride yesterday and the person in front of me said he could not see my headlight only the driving lights so I am not sure if it is actually doing any good.
  12. I have a similar problem with my rear tire it's .25 inches out of round and makes the bike feel like it's hopping at slow speeds and floating at high speed took me awhile to figure out it was the rear tire. I thing I flat spotted it during the Motorcycle Safety course.
  13. We really enjoyed ourselves need to find a place around Charlotte so it will not be as long of a ride for David and Laura. I have been looking at places around here that would be good also.
  14. Business I work for the Navy. Be nice to meet up will let you know.
  15. Your welcome. What a great bunch of folks!! I am not accustomed to being in the pictures either, I am usually the shutterbug so maybe now Bobbie will be in more pics too. I knew it was a good sign when we had almost identical cameras. I think my next trip to Norfolk instead of flying I am going to ride and hopefully I can meet some new Venture Riders on the way.

  19. If you add Isopropyl make sure you get pure, rubbing alcohol has soap or other fillers in it.
  20. I bought the cheap J&M $70 for my daughters helmet and she has been happy with it is great for talking so-so for music.
  21. O'Reilly's auto parts has it for 23 a gallon.
  22. We used one in the lab to clean electronics, we used a special solvent. The only advantage I could find is it broke up the crime between stuff without taken them apart. Do a foil test: Cut a small rectangle of aluminum foil (maybe 1"x3") Fill the cleaner with water Turn it on Dip half the foil rectangle into the water for a little bit (maybe 15-30 seconds, or until you see results) Pull out the aluminum foil. It should have dimples (and possible small holes) through it. The cleaner will break the grime up use a brush or cloth to see if it wipes away eaiser. There are specialized solutions you can buy and there are probally recipes on the net.
  23. Nice shiney blue bottle.
