Thanks for the great company, great food and the great riding today. It was nice to see everyone again and meet some new folks. More pics are posted at http://s760.photobucket.com/albums/xx248/etcswjoe/Pawleys%20Porch%202/ and Bobbie is actually in them. -
So how was breakfast?

New guy looking at possibly getting a Venture.
etcswjoe replied to Humbucker's topic in Watering Hole
I bought my 99 in June after several years of looking and trying out other bikes. My biggest issue was will it carry my wife and I comfortably (we are both large folks) after 6000 miles I would give it a resounding thumbs up. 1500 miles in a weekend is no big deal on it. It all comes down to how well you like it, try out any you might be intersted in and go from there. Here is a article I looked at when the 2nd gens came out that might interest you. http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/roadtests/touring_motorcycles_comparison/index.html -
You know it's a distinct possibility Now that you have everyone hungry what time are you serving Breakfast?

There is an art to eating good biscuits. You take and put some sorghum on the plate mix butter with it just right and sop it up it with the biscuit. You know when you have the mix just right when it tears half of a cat's head biscuit half in two when you drag it through.

You could be right I am only going by what I was told by the PO, I was thinking maybe SLIME myself. The tire had been on the bike for 6 years when I bought the bike so no telling. It was not that hard to get off just a hassle. I was trying to find out where I read it would start to break down after a couple of years but I cannot find it.

Don't reuse it it turns hard after a couple of years, the PO of my bike used it and after I had my first tire change the rim was coated with the stuff. I do not reccommend it unless you plan on changing your tires every two years not a problem if you ride as much as I do. http://i760.photobucket.com/albums/xx248/etcswjoe/Front%20Rim/IMG_0366.jpg

Thanks Here is a link that has a couple pics on, most are from the Good Guys show in Charlotte Last year. http://s760.photobucket.com/albums/xx248/etcswjoe/Our%20Cars/ I always took for granted the time we spent building these old cars with Dad and my brother. Always cherish this time and have a blast with the the 48. Was your Dad Navy also? We put a "Vintage Air" AC unit in the 46 and the 41 seems to work real well. http://www.vintageair.com/ Just curious what type of clip is under the front end or is it orginal?

Nice Car we have a 46 almost the same color and I do not know why but when we built it we put in a 350 also. I hope your Dad enjoys his "new" car as much as my Dad did ours. Make sure you bring it up to SW Va next year for our car & bike show in memory of my Dad. http://i760.photobucket.com/albums/xx248/etcswjoe/Our%20Cars/Sad_SamCrop.jpg

Could you have uploaded it awhile back and the activity is someone else downloading it? I searched the member list and it looks like he is a trail member.

Memorial day is good for me.
-
Will do, I am going to go talk to one of the local suppliers Monday to see if they can cut me a deal on the parts since we have bought from them before. I would like to find a schematic of the cell phone interface and see how much I could build it for. If I cannot find one I guess I will have to figure it out myself.

I am going to have to order a bunch of parts from mouser and make some of these adapters. I cannot believe they get 35.00 for 10.00 or less in parts:confused24:
