I have this set up on my bike and everyone says I sound real clear and I hear everyone else great. Better AM/FM reception too.. You can call or e-mail Marshall too and he is usally willing to walk you through it.

Did either of you look at Bar/Dot drivers such as the LM3914? I had thought about using one and splitting an led bar for an additional turn signal.

Sorry to hear about your issues, I have not been to the VA in Iowa but I will keep you in my prayers.

I went around to about half a dozen other bikes at the Tybee Island M&E and each bike makes the same popping noise, so I must have never noticed it before.

New Guy Questions?
etcswjoe replied to TearlessTom's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I am in the process of purchasing an 07 model. 1st Question: Can anyone tell me the proper pressure for the front and rear shocks? I read the front takes no more than 7 and that 3 is a good place to start but I havent found anything on the rear. It depends on what you do and your personall prefrences you will need to play with it to fit you. I ride two up 90-% of the time and have 4 in the front and 45 in the rear (53 is max I belive) make sure you do not over pressurize you can blow the front seals. The bike has been sitting for a couple of months so I will probable need adjusting. 2nd question: What years are the 1st generation vs the second generations that I see people talking about and what are the differences? The easiest way to answer this would be to look at the pictures, The first gen is was more of a tourer and the 2nd gen is a cruiser. I have had both and really liked diffrent things about both. Take a look at this link for the history : http://www.venturerider.org/modules/history/index.php 3rd question: Is there a 3rd generation? Not Yet, from 99 to 2011 the bikes are almost identical and yes all of them have tape decks. 4th question: Is there any major issues I should look for or check. the bike has 40,000+ miles. I have 33K on mine and it is doing well, I replaced the CB Antenna setup because I did not like the OEM performance. It has carbs so you have to make sure they stay synched. Low Speed Handling is not that great. I am sure others will expand. 5th question: Is there a limit as to how many questions I can ask per post IDK Thanks in advance as I am sure there will be more questions to follow. Tom PS: my presently my other bike is a beautiful 97 Honda Valkyrie Tourer. I recently sold a 06 HD Street Glide. I've also owned a 03 Honda ST1300, a 03 Honda VTX 1300, a Honda 750 ACE, and my 1st bike was a Yahama 400 way back when gas reached $1.00 a gallon. My wife rides a 04 HD Fatboy -
Don, Never thought classifieds and fourms could be so time consuming. I just want to say thanks for all your time and effort.

CNN's take on it. http://edition.cnn.com/2010/US/11/15/california.motorcyle.crash/ I pray for the victims and their families....

Are you sure it's fuel related? I had a bike with a faulty kick stand switch that sounds similar to what you are experiencing.

I need a new hosting service for my family Website since AT&T dropped it's service in August. I have looked at a few but I am not thrilled by any so far. Can anyone recommend one that is reliable and inexpensive? I just need enough for family tree's, photos and if I want to make a special page for something.

Only time I turn mine off is when I am riding in a group and not the last person.

You know you may have a point there :rotf: It's not Rice Krispies you hear in the morning popping

Went out and took the lever off and inspected the insert and it does not look out of shape. I depressed the rod in without the lever and it still makes the noise. It's sound's almost like a a piece of plastic being popped.

When I release the clutch on my 99 RSV I get a pop or click from the master cylinder, it appears to me that it is the boot around the push-rod making the noise. I have plenty of fluid and the clutch is working fine except the noise. I never noticed it before today, however I did not have the engine running when I noticed it so it may have been around for awhile. Do I need to start thinking about rebuilding the master cylinder? Has anyone else experienced this? I am planning to change the fluid Sunday to see if that helps.
