  1. The gas tank on the bike is vented to relive the pressure and the fumes are not trapped in an enclosed space. For it being vapor proof I don't have much faith in it but again that's my opinoin and you know what they say about opinions.
  2. Just think only 317 days till Christmas.
  3. Congrats, Have you started shopping for a sidecar yet?
  4. :2cents:I don't think I would go fo it either, having gas inside a hot saddlebag is not my idea of a safe thing, plus I would think the fumes might not be good for the plastic or anything else in the bag.
  5. I thought the thread was talking about the National Anthem (The Star Spangled Banner), I guess I missed the "America The Beautiful comments" I will have to go back and read all the posts again.
  6. Front Page 2003 ran fine for me under windows 7 Beta,
  7. I heard one of the country singers sing the whole thing once and it was nice, first time I had ever heard it sang in it's entirety. Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave! And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion A home and a country should leave us no more? Their blood has wash'd out their foul footsteps' pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave. O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand, Between their lov'd homes and the war's desolation; Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust" And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
  8. What a beautiful day for a ride today. Meet up with Art (Art 708) this morning before joining up with a local group of riders for a nice 5 hour ride through the back roads of the low country. Art's Mods to his bike looked great the pics he posted did not do it justice. Sorry our newest low country resident could not join us maybe next time. 10. Seems like I always had the watch when we changed the clocks back an hour crossing the pond.

  12. I don't think much has changed
  13. I am starting to get the suspicion that you are a 1st gen fan....
  14. I tried one out in San Diego, just did not stand out for me but still a sweet bike. I guess you will need to get snow tires and chains to ride it.
  15. I am far from politically correct myself and the comment did not trigger anything in my brain is why I missed it I guess. I get told all the time that I should not say things that offend people but I think we as a whole are too easily offended sometimes. After 23 years in the military it's hard for me to change my ways.
  16. Hope eveyone is safe and sound with the cold and snow here in the US and our Australian friends are high and dry with the big storm coming their way. With that said I think I am going to go ridding.
  17. I missed the shooting part.
  18. Took longer than I thought for some one to raise the political flag.... With that said make sure your representatives always knows how you think.

  20. There are lots of things I would like to change, however any action has a reaction and since I am good with most of the things I did I don't think I would wish for those I did not to change the outcome from the things I did like....... Confused? I know I am....
  21. Took me a few times before I could read the whole thing, very nice tribute. We lost Dad last year you never realize how much af an impact your Dad makes. Think of him often, laugh, cry and get mad with the memories but most of all cherish them. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
  22. Is oil the most dicussed topic besides M&E's?
  23. I think that had to be one of the first e-mail jokes ever made, but I still get a kick out of it everytime.
