No what you have to do is have a separate set of wires for the key. You could use the PTT on the handle bars but it would not be safe holding the mike and using the PTT at the same time. The only signal that will go through the 5 pin din to the bike will be audio. If you like I will draw up a diagram. The mic I have has a cord that goes between the mic and the 5 pin din that has a separate wire that you run to the PTT circuit. On a side note, using a handheld mic can lessen your reaction time if you get into a situation while holding the mic.

Congrats. So how long before she is on the bike?
-
The blue and the red will go to the wires coming form the PTT switch I believe they are Black/white and white coming out of the handlebar switch and Black/white White/blue after the first connector you may want to verify this. I will pull the fairing and check this when I get back form riding tomorrow.

You need to run separate wires and tie into the PTT circuit and make sure the leads match as far as your mic and the mic inputs on the bike. If the noise cancelling part is supposed to be powered that is another issue you will have to deal with. You can make a cord to go between the mic and the bike input to separate the PTT leads or cut the 4 pin off and wire it into a 5 pin and separate the leads from there. Attach the white and shield to the mic input and the red and blue for PTT.

I know of two outside of base that are fairly modern and are about 60 miles away so a good evening ride, now if you want 1800's artillery I just have to ride downtown but that would be no fun.

If you could takes pics on base it would be easy.

I hear concrete works real well I did find this: Prepare the surface. Let the earthen floor dry for several weeks before attempting to seal. This can depend on your climate and the season; allow extra drying time in humid climates and ensure your floor is completely dry before proceeding. Sweep or vacuum away any accumulated dust. 2 Pour a small amount of linseed oil into the kettle. Work in small batches, especially as you are learning the process. Heat the kettle outside on the gas camp stove until the oil is almost boiling. Do not let oil reach boiling temperature. Wear safety goggles, gloves and a mask when you work with the oil. 3 Apply the heated oil to the earthen floor with brushes, or pool some of the oil onto the floor and use a paintbrush to distribute it in an even coat. Heat and apply additional oil as necessary until you have applied one thin, even layer of linseed oil over the entire floor. 4 Begin applying the second coat immediately after the first one. The earthen surface of the floor should have absorbed the first coat completely. For the second coat, ensure the oil has been absorbed, leaving no puddles or pools of excess oil on the surface of the floor, before proceeding. This may take up to a day or two, depending on your climate. 5 Dilute the oil by mixing a solution of 75 percent oil with 25 percent solvent. Heat the mixture and apply a third coat. Avoid pooling or puddling the material. Wipe up any excess solution with a rag, or the floor will become sticky as the material dries on the surface. When the third coat has been absorbed, leaving no excess on the surface, apply a fourth coat with the same solution. 6 Make a second diluted mixture of 50 percent oil and 50 percent solvent. Heat and apply at least two coats of this mixture, allowing the floor to absorb one layer fully before applying the next. Allow two to three days for the final coat to dry. After getting nailed by Navy Seals, Osama made his way to the pearly gates. There, he is greeted by George Washington. "How dare you attack the nation I helped conceive!" yells Mr. Washington, slapping Osama in the face. Patrick Henry comes up from behind. "You wanted to end the Americans' liberty, so they gave you death!" Henry punches Osama on the nose. James Madison comes up next, and says "This is why I allowed the Federal government to provide for the common defense!" He drops a large weight on Osama's knee. Osama is subject to similar beatings from John Randolph of Roanoke, James Monroe, and 65 other people who have the same love for liberty and America. As he writhes on the ground, Thomas Jefferson picks him up to hurl him back toward the gate where he is to be judged. As Osama awaits his journey to his final very hot destination, he screams "This is not what I was promised!" An angel replies "I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you, idiot. What did you think I said?"

Glad you are ok, I saw the rider in front of me this weekend almost get hit twice for the exact same reason. You would figure a Harley makes enough noise to hear but it took me laying on my horn and his quick reaction kept him from getting wiped out and of course both drives looked at us like we did something wrong.

I have noticed diffrent mileage from diffrent staions and brands. I get the best from Piggly Wiggly and it's non-ethonal go figure. Another problem I have in measureing gas mileage is how do you know you are putting the same amount in each time? It seems like I can fill my bike up to the neck and 10 seconds later it is back below it. If I repeat this process it will finally stop but I don't do that each time.

I read the post Friday and I did not respond, I just really did not know how to put my feelings into words. I really appreciate all the sacrifices you and others put forth for this country and I personally feel you have earned the right to express your feelings. God Bless you and all that put their lives on the line for this country.
