  1. I have a meter and can tune it if you want to meet up somewhere, I think Sleeprhawk is putting new antennas on his bike so we might alll be able to get together.
  2. Found this at citizens bank http://www.citizensbankna.com/images/content/forms/Gas%20and%20Your%20Debit%20Card.pdf
  3. Debit cards draw directly from your bank account sometimes called check cards some people also have the debit cards tied to a line of credit so they can use them like a charge card if there is not enough money in the account.
  4. They only do pre-authorizations with Debit cards in SC, so I always select credit. They also have big stickers on the pumps that tell you this.
  5. If you can't get the converter in time you can always use relays.
  6. Today is also Peach Ice Cream Day, however I had Raspberry Chocolate Chunk from Brusters.
  7. I think I may have misunderstood what he was asking for. You want to search for three letters. Like Freebird said you can use Google ie hid site:venturerider.org CMU site:venturerider.org TCI site:venturerider.org RLU site:venturerider.org Doing this will bring up every instance of the term under the site and you can do this for other sites as well.
  8. There are several sites that list acronyms. Here is one of them. http://d-tips.com/Tools/toolBox/acronyms.aspx Instead of a search maybe a page in the tech library for acronyms?
  9. Do you have side tone? If not try the passenger plug and if you do try to transmit on the CB if you can there is a bad wire in the cable going from the driver connection to the radio?
  10. Sounds like you have a bad connection or one bad wire. Check the connections behind the fairing take them apart clean them and put some dielectric grease on them.
  11. I called and sent an e-mail to Dunlop will see what they have to say. I think this picture represents 51st week of 07 I was good with the date codes in the little oval till I ran across the 5601.
  12. I looked at the tires I removed from my bike last week and the code in the oval like you have pictured said 5601 I always thought there were 52 weeks in a year? Turns out I was right that was not the date code on my Dunlop tires it is in with the DOT code on the tire. My new tires were made 14th week of 2011. My old tires were made 27 week of 2003. I think But what is really confusing is I found this on the dunlop website http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/pdf/11D_FL_SAFETY.pdf
  13. Sandbagger, Glad you are ok, blowouts are definitely scary, I have no idea what I did to get it to the side of the road it happened too fast but I was much younger back then too. When I called Avon they told me on the Venture 39 front 42 rear. The only blowouts I ever had turned out to be external sources, such as hitting something and not realizing it till the tire blew.
  14. Seemed like everyone had the Front E-3's on back-order when I got my tires so hopefully next time I will try E-3's. Seemed like I had to torgue the rear axle nut an awful lot to get 110 ft-lbs.
  15. That would explain alot.
  16. Well I finally got everything back together, and what it only took me 7 hours!!! Next time I think I will have Yammer come over and help me with mine too.
  17. Well I finished changing my rear tire and lubing the drive shaft and rear end. What a pain in the butt getting the drive shaft in is. Used Moly 60 on everything and I found out fast orange will get it off you skin. Lesson learned cut your fingernails before using disposable gloves. I used a ratchet tie down to lower, raise up and hold the wheel in place since I was doing everything by myself and it worked really well. Had some questions and Ruffy patiently answered all of them for me and gave me some pointers. Now I just have to put the mufflers and saddlebags back on.
  18. Both very cool.
  19. As soon as someone near Charleston gets one let me know I would like to see one before I buy.
  20. With the extra gas cans in the saddlebags is there any chance they may rupture if it gets really hot, it's been over a hundred all week down here and I had a soda bottle swell to the size of a football in my saddle bag and just curious if the gas cans would do the same thing and if the fumes would hurt the plastic?
  21. Would a gas tank on the lid or in your trailer and a fuel line with a quick disconnect going to a threeway valve into your fuel line work? Would you need to have a booster pump in the trailer. If it would work you could go 350 miles or more before you needed to stop.
  22. I will trade you 93 with a 115 heat index today.
  23. I sent one of my sailors for some elbow grease once, he went all over the ship asking for it. Boy was he po'ed when he figured it out.
