2012 Models - Don't think it's been asked in a while
etcswjoe replied to rumboogy's topic in Watering Hole
They must be getting close to using all the parts they made back in 99. If a company did make too many parts one year can they slap them together and call them another year? -

Mr. Freebird, I supoport you and the moderators fullly. I must be thick skinned or maybe a little desensitized, I can not speak for the others that have served but when you lose your best friend or the kid you sent into harm’s way does not come back and you have to tell his folks, a little heated discussion does not bother me. If you ask how I think I will tell you and I may tell you I do not agree with your beliefs but I will not discard you because of them.

Right before he goes into the turn you can see a black area in the turn and he did pass a new area of asphalt earlier so I am wondering if there was oil on the road from construction or something?

We still have another 2 to 3 months of crass cutting left.

When you push the CB button on the controller does it give you the option to adjust squelch and CB volume? When you pull in the PTT does the display show the TX in the controller window?

Auxiliary DC Jack
etcswjoe replied to Steveb1959's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Ok, there is a hole on the left side about the same place as the air fitting is on the right, this is for another aux plug however if you want a cigarette type you will have to buy one and plug it into the little white connector. Yamaha wants 150 bucks but you can get one form an auto parts store that works as well. -

It's been 8 months since it got down to 61 here, I think you do deserve a beer for that.

That's like on one of the VR scavenger hunts I said "Let's go for a picture of a statue with you and your bike" guess what I got? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20503&page=89

Ok, here we go I want a picture of you, your bike and a sign with the temperature on it however here is the catch since this is a fairly easy target the winner will be the person with the highest temperature out of three or two weeks whichever is quickest.

200 miles looking for a slide, got tired :draming:and figured I would let the GPS pick the route home. I put in shortest and the first turn in a neighborhood there it was. I guess if you stop looking you will find. Let me know if this works and I will set the next target, I have a mean idea
-
I think I am going to head out and look some more.

I am going to try closed schools and see if maybe they have some metal ones, public slides are required to be in the shade or covered if they are metal now.
