Thanks for the recommendation on the connector; I will start with the battery especially since it is easier to get to than the connector is. If not I guess, I will have some “fun” taking off plastic.

Just tried to start it and got an error code of 19 which says it is the crankshaft position sensor, the part is only $50, but with the Goldwing I am sure it is not easy to get to.

I decided to ride the Goldwing to work today instead of the Venture, not a wise move. When I went to leave the Goldwing turned over but would not start, however it push started just fine. I rode home and the bike has started every time since. I had a similar issue a year ago but all you had to do was put it in gear and nudge the engine a little then hit the start button and it would fire right up. I attributed the issue last year to the batteries age but not sure now, the battery is only a year old and I actually had to get someone to help me push it to get it started. Any clues as to what the issue is? 2012 GL1800 35K.

Every once in awhile I stay up that late, but us old folks can't always keep up with those young whipper snappers.

Sounds very familiar, glad no permenant damage was done. My wife put a sign on the door to the garage that says "Beware of Flying Tools" if that tells you anything.

Glad it was just a close call and you two are ok. The hunters run them with dogs around here and usally straight into the road followed by the dogs.

Stephen, hope have been able to find a solution. Can you just switch out the boom or the mic element? I did notice your location and although it is a year off I thought I would let you know we have a ride every other year at Vogel State Park just north of you every other year and the next one will be 11-15 August 2021 if you might be interested. I don't think it will work because you have no preamp voltage for the 7 pin mic form a 5 pin setup.
