I am not big on endorsing product but I thought I would share this one. I bought a pair of Converse C8874 Combat boots with composite toe in January and I have to say this are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I use them to ride, hike and work with no issues at all. With the composite toe instead of steel it does not heat and cool. Checked the DOT sites and may have to tweak my route a little but not too drastically. Found out my daughter acutally leaves on the 10th so we made head out a day early.

Know the feeling, my daughter starting riding my brothers Wide Glide around when she was 13 so I knew she was hooked. She can ride the RSV but I am not comfortable with her doing it so we are looking at the Shawdows and V-Stars. She looked at the Triumphs and the Sportsters but was not thrilled with them and she has no intrest in sport bikes. My Dad got me on a little 125 when I was 4 and regretted it his whole life but he helped me get several bikes and said I told you so when I cam home skinned up more times than I can count. Do what you thinks best and all you can do is try to talk some sense and safety into him like my Dad did. I bet you picture your son like this:

I have been riding for 42 years and my wife has been riding with me for 18 of those and people have starred since day one. Talking with some of my non bike riding friends it seems that people have the misconception that we are all trouble makers and all of us carry even us old folks so tell you wife just to start walking over to them and see their reaction.

Rick did you try another computer in your house? Check your firewall to make sure its not blocked for some reason. Also what error are you getting when you try it? Also go to this site http://www.dns-ok.us/ it will tell you if your DNS is good or not.

Wear a full face helmet....catch a bullet!
etcswjoe replied to Snaggletooth's topic in Watering Hole
I forget what state I was in but I wore my full face into a store to pay for gas and there was a police office in there and he told me that it was illegal to wear a full face helmet into a store. -
23 is not bad at all usual small town slow downs take you about 8 hours from Asheville to get to Columbus.

Meet alot of great folks on here and seems like it is too easy to loose touch sometimes. I was going through some pics from a couple years ago and thinking about all those that I have not heard from in awhile.

Good on you for helping out. The wife and I keep water bottles in the freezer and when we leave in the summer we put a few in the saddle bags so we have cold water most of the day. I have also seen alot of Camel backs lately.

There is a malware going around that messes with your DNS or host table, try symantec.com and mcafee.com if you cannot get to both of them you may have it. I got it on my laptop my last trip and had to reloaded it.
