  1. Ok guess I should have been clearer, unless the SWR meter on the CB you are using is taking its reading from the antenna output it will not give you the same measurment as the external SWR meter. More than likely the SWR meter built into the CB is taking its reading before the final which will make the adjustment diffrent for the same antenna. Also it may change the ground plane if you use another CB
  2. It may get you close however each radio is different so it will not be exact.
  3. Are you truning it on with the CB button on the controller or does it come on when you turn the bike on?
  4. Make sure the adapters mate good the ones at Radio Shack do not work that well. I like Walcott CB online. http://www.walcottcb.com/cb-coax-cable-coax-connectors-and-adapters-c-377_355_443.html
  5. Add me to those that would ride it in good weather, give me a dirt bike and I might ride it in bad.
  6. Wishing you the best and a speedy recovery.
  7. Morning Welcome to the site. Are you having issues or do you just want more power?
  8. I just replaced my stator and R/R with the one form Buckeye and so far I am very happy. I did the work myself and there were some sticking points that may not be for the faint of heart but it can be done.
  9. Just to double check did you look at the connectors inside the waterproof enclosure and the ones behind the fairing?
  10. So this will be you in a week? http://www.minibuggy.net/forum/minibuggy-net-lounge/13271-motorcycle-powered-wheelchair-highway.html
  11. The only think I took off was the right side passenger floorboards, used needle nose vise grips to hold the nuts in place. It would have been a lot easier to take off the seat and even more if I had taken out the battery box. I did put a shim under the rear right of the jack to allow the bolt to slide out unencumbered it took less than an hour to do.
  12. Hate to hear about your crash hope you heal quickly.
  13. Luckily I have been able to avoid hitting any.
  14. Don't Stay in the French Quarter the decent hotels are expensive and the cheap ones are well just that cheap. Also you will have to pay parking in the French Quarter hotels. The casinos are not too bad but if you don't gamble the parking fees will eat you up. I always look in Metarie or Kenner before looking in the Quarter.
  15. Someone had a solution I saw it at one of the M&E's just don't remember who it was. They made it so the floorboard could swing down and forward. You could also try these: http://www.diamondraccessories.com/yamaha/proddisplay.php?name=Passenger%20Highway%20Pegs A previous thread on this: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=25645&page=3 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=28341 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=16960 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=23575&highlight=passenger+highway+pegs

  17. I saw them at Bobbi's party and I will be replacing mine with these. Thanks!!
  18. The seat height was good but with my wife on the back I had no room up front and my wife sis not like how the passenger backrest sloped. The fairing does seem a long way from the rider but I think you could get use to that. The wind does catch it pretty good but i don't think anymore than the RSV. They are nice bikes but just not for me as they are now.
  19. We always liked stopping at Virginia Dinner on our way home, did not seem to have changed much after DD&Ds. We have noticed some of the places raised their prices after the show. Have visited about a dozen places from the show had a couple M&E's at Pawley's Front Porch in Columbia after they were on the show and it turned out well. You can go to http://www.flavortownusa.com/states.aspx#.UKjaImdEKas and it has a map of all the places from the show.
  20. Cool pic, hope you heal fast. Keep clicking away.
  21. Next target is you, your bike and an Ornate Cross http://img.groundspeak.com/waymarking/84eabb7f-4794-41cf-8c76-4e535c466cea.jpg http://www.waymarking.com/gallery/image.aspx?f=1&guid=84eabb7f-4794-41cf-8c76-4e535c466cea&gid=3
  22. Some of the best Thanksgiving dinners I had were at sea.
  23. Test rode a Vision today and it was a smooth ride, however I think the bike I rode was defective it clunked really bad when you changed gears and had no power on acceleration. The handle bars seemed way to high does anyone know if they are adjustable?
  24. Ok I think I got the trees, little hard finding ones with a place to stop, the first tree was shaved on one side the second was cut on top and the power line goes over.
  25. Got the stator back in and seems to be doing well, I think the bolts had worked out. Bought a new tube of loctite this time just to make sure. Now I just need somewhere to ride to maybe I will go look for the scavenger hunt target.
