  1. If he just replaced the clutch I think it would be in that direction, however Marcarl's suggestion seems like the best way to start.
  2. and I thought it was going to be political post........... :rotf:
  3. I think someone sold you a line with the 170. I have only rode on the sidewall once and that was a ony because of the way the curve was slopped. I can't imagine what it would have done with a 170 on it.
  4. HI Points are not bad guns like you said they may be big and ugly but they work.

  14. You want to adjust to the high end of the spec, however you may not have a choice depending on available shims.
  15. Ask your doc if a nasal pillow type mask may work better for you. I had the nasal mask and it kept rubbing the top of my nose. Took me about two weeks to get use to the machine I tried one of those cut out pillows and wound up tossing it.
  16. Mine makes the same noise and I have yet to find the culprit, however I belive it is the trunk itself since I do not have the reinforcement plate under mine you may want to check to see if yours does. This link describes the upgrade. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/archive/index.php/t-38648.html
  17. We are leaviing Charleston on the 6th stopping over at my brothers in Rural Retreat Va for the night so if anyone wants to meet up on Friday the 7th in Wytheville Va at Shonneys exit 73 at 0600 for breakfast and head out around 0700 that should put us at Freebirds around 1500 conservativly. That would be enough time to set up camp before going to Quaker Steak and lube.
  18. We are leaving Charleston SC on Thursday and riding up to Rural Retreat Va then on to MD on Friday but I think you may be a little too far north on Friday for us to join up with you.
  19. My dealer is great for parts they price match and give me 10% military discount.
  20. They have been a couple of whole wheels in the classified sections for less than what the "stealer" wanted.
  21. I rode with mine for the first time Firday and it did well I was surprised how much wind it knocked off in the short position. The extra thickness should not effect your bags.
  22. The first pic is the seat, the second one is a tank bag I had strapped to the back with all my camera stuff in it.
  23. I removed mine on one of my 99's and it is simple and you can even relocate the CB to one of your saddle bags. You will have to hide the wires and either cut the brackets that hold the wriing on to the rear fender or get a tourdelux rear fender like I did. If you are not going to use the CB would you consider selling it? Someone on here did theirs and really made it look sharp cut down windshield fender rack custom seat the works. Mine is a work in progress I keep changing thinks on it. 1. remove the trunk 4 screws I belive 2. remove antennas 3. remove CB 4. remove grab handles 5. remove trunk rack 6. remove passenger seat 7. replace or mod fender 8. Put everything on a shelf incase you everywant to go back. 9. Make antenna bracket if so desired
  24. Thanks if I can get up that way on the 18th I will take you up on it.
