Passing lamp wiring
Galapagos replied to Galapagos's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
First thanks DJ. That is the info for the relay. I have that installed. I have three wires concerned with the lights. One ground, one power and one relay. I can ground the lights, no problemo. I can hook the power wire into the green wire at the headlamp harness. What do I do with the relay wire? Thanks to XV1100 for the wiring lead. -
Is there a post here that explains in real plain English on how to wire passing lights into the headlamp switch on a 2006 RSTD? I wish to run the lights when the bike starts and turn them off when I hit the high beam.

The company I work for is a frac sand supplier. I think it is a great idea.

Yamaha of Warren located in Champion Ohio. I called today to check tire prices. They told me to bring the bike in today and they have a sale on Dunlops. 30-40 percent off! I asked about an Avon for the front to match the rear. They gave me a good price and installed while I waited. The tech worked though his lunch to get me done! The dealer closer to me makes me wait a week while he orders tires and then three days to get the bike back. I now have a new dealer.

Good deal!

I have a Yamaha dealer that really treats me great. Is there a forum to recognize a good dealer at?

Update. Winter and some old age issues have kept me away from my pet project of this Vietnam Vets memorial. Now that the weather has lightened up in NE Ohio I am in the process of installing the flags that were donated by another member who is a proud American and came to my call when I needed help on this project. Pictures, progress and details to follow in the next few weeks. Thanks to all here.

Gawd! I hope my morning is as successful. The bikes come out of cold storage tomorrow morning. I plan a big breakfast and getting them back to the house for a go over and service. Maybe even a small ride. Then off to a couple of PGR events. Good luck in your travels Annie. I would like to put a face to the post sometime and meet you folk.

Avon Venom 41 MT90-15??
Galapagos replied to AJSCRAPER's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
First AJ hello from another Ohio guy. I work at Sidleys in Thompson. I bought an Avon Venom for the rear last year and love the tire. I need a front tire this spring. Any ideas on a good match to the Venom? -
HID upgrade
Galapagos replied to biker970's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Is a conversion kit required for a second gen or is it a plugin? I have 55w driving lights that are blue and would like to match the headlamp and increase output of the headlamp if possible. -
I was working on the bike in the garage and had a cold beer sitting on the tool counter. It was July and a real blazer.I reached up and grabbed the brew and took a big slug. Something horrible was in my mouth! I got up and looked at the bottle. It was an old bottle of beer with about two inches of slime and mold left in it!. I get sick just thinking about it.

I think I will still spend the $9 for a can.

You handled that correctly. Better to be tried by six than carried by 12. The crazy people are everywhere these days.

OK, we did not get going soon enough to lose our money. Let me make some suggestions. The Lotto hits 100 million we play. Ticket costs you three dollars here. PayPal to Freebird. Two for the chance and one for expenses and charity. (PayPal charges a fee.) One $3 ticket gives you one share after taxes. You can buy as many $3 dollar tickets as you wish. Numbers purchased are displayed the night before the numbers are drawn. We have to chose a charity for our extra money. Freebird is the Administrator. He is the deciding factor in all disputes. His word is law. You all have to buy white bikes the rest of your life. (Just kidding:) Our kitty for charity hits a dollar amount that we can decide on we donate. I know I missed stuff. Any suggestions are welcome. MoS
