Wow what a trip so far left illinois Friday morning for Franklin, NC and we are still not there. Spent 5 hours on the side of road with a flat on one of the bikes trying to get a wrecker. Finally a guy with a pickup and trailer loaded it up for us and got us to a motel. I am having rearend issues of some sort. Makes a grinding noise every once in awhile and has a slight vibration. Cant find anything wrong. No metal shavings, no loose wheel bearings and nothing is getting hot. Now i have no back brakes and seems the quit about the same time as the noise started so in the morning i will pull the bag and pull the caliper and see what is going on. I just put new brake pads on 1 week ago. So far a trip from hell. Now in madisonville tn. So we will figure the other bikes tire issue and then tackle mine.

A group of us will be in Franklin from July 4th to July 11th if you want to ride or come by for a fire and a drink in the evening give me a call and we can get together. 3 of us are from this board

Never heard of this. On the 2nd gen Ventures when the clutch spring gets weak it just slips when accelerating. Never heard anyone having a problem shifting.

No Short answer. Yes you should see oil about half way up is where mine runs after an oil change. Filter and 3.2 quarts.

Just got home from a weekend at Orlins and haven't had time to look at things yet. I added a relay to my horns sine I put louder ones on so maybe the relay went bad. Gonna start there

Can anyone tell me what fuse the horn is run through? I can't seem to locate it and the horn quit

Hello Friends, and fellow riders. of 4 us from this board will be spending a week in Franklin, NC starting July 4th. We will be taking rides everyday within a 150 miles in all directions and wanted to invite anyone who might be close or will be in the area to join us for a ride, or lunch, or supper, or a bonfire at the house we rented. I will post the places we intend to ride to and maybe we can meet up. Just an FYI. there will be a total of 5 bikes and 9 people

Dan, The price is way to high for that bike. What trike kit is it? Some kits are so much better than others. There is an 89 Goldwing trike here that a friend of mine who builds trikes took in on trade that I can buy for $5300. And that motor is a 200,000 mile motor and so much easier to work on than the 1000 through 1200 motors.

Yes I believe we will make it. I will look closer and maybe make a suggestiin or two and let you know

Do You know what road you are taking east yet? Might be easier since I live in Bloomington now to head up I-55 and meet you when you cross there. Let me know when you decide and I'll pick a place and be waiting for you there
