Have you pressure tested the whole system? Since you have done everything else it sure sounds like a head gasket seeping.

Welcome to the insanity.............your life has changed forever:happy65:

The system they have to stop the use of cell phones while driving are designed to make the keypad inoperable if going over a certain speed except for 911 calls. It doesn't block incoming calls. I don't know if you are old enough to remember but we all got along fine for around 90 years without driving and using cell phones. Sometimes we must step abck and decide if the cost is worth the privilege. Since we have lost two very close people to us in 2 separate incidents due to cell phone texting I for one am for putting the things down. I don't want you or me to be next
-
Mine went from around 46 mpg to 39/40 all of a sudden and for no reason that I can determine. I didn't change anything and as far as I can tell the bike runs fine
-
It will always work for 911. and Zero if you are in an area that doesn't offer 911 (if there are any left)
-
They now have a program that can be put into Cell Phones that work off the GPS so if the car is moving over a set speed it makes them inoperable. But we have to many people believing that as a passenger it is unfair that they can't use their phone. I say bull crap what till they have a daughter killed by someone texting or talking and they will feel different about that. Amen to that.....

If you could trade your Venture for a Goldwing

WOW didn't like what I said so you want to to attempt to attack me or come across as knowing so much more than me . But Remember you don't know me so sorry I offended you or what ever it was you didn't like. I stand impressed So are you saying that at 100,000 miles I will not have had to do the top end, anything to the valves or cams or mains and rod bearings? You know better -

Nope Not even sure I have read anything like that. My info is from people I know that ride the Electra Glide. Somewhere around 100,000 miles it needs motor work. Like I said I love the Harley but since it is air cooled it will not run the miles of the RSV or Goldwing Are you sure you aren't the one who believes what they read on the interweb? -

I'd Love to have the Harley but I ride to many miles a year and can't see spending $25,000 on a bike I will have to rebuild every 3 years. If and when they make it water cooled then I will buy one. As for trading for a gold wing no thanks don't like the bike and I had one before and I ride with a bunch of them since I am a GWRRA member also. as for the miles I put on a year, since I believe the Harley won't last, I have put on 61,000 miles in the last 2 years. -
The Shipping alone will cost $1500 and she doesn't even know where you are. If you were in Maine it would cost $3500 don't waste your time it is a scam plus book on the car is around $6000

E"3s...............E3's I had the Avons and the wouldn't handle well and I couldn't keep them balanced. Plus they wore out in about 9,000 miles. I have the E'3s and I love them They have staryed balanced and I have 10,000 miles on them and I will get another 6-7 thousand before I need to replace the back one. They are a little noisey when cornering but I don't care.

New Guy Questions?

Ignition switch will go out at some point. Mine went out at 30,000 miles. They are way out of line for a new one $200 plus which is stupid for an ignition switch. If the bike has passing/running lights you need to install a relay to help the ignition switch. I run my shocks Front between 5-8 pounds and rear between 30-40 pounds depending on if I am 2 up or pulling my trailer. I bought mine in July with 21.000 miles on it and now have 37,000 miles on it and have had no trouble other than the switch. Also mine had Avon tires on it and wouldn't corner near as well as my old gold wing so I now have Dunlap E 3's and it handles great. -
Venture stumbling in high gear

What kind of fuel mileage you det? Mine does something like that. Sorta a little like the Harley shake and I have a 2000 MM Edition. I get around 43 MPG and after talking to a bunch of people decided their isn't anything wrong with mine. -
OK Thanks to everyone who offered up help. I will decide what we will do in a few weeks and will also decide when we are going to leave. Again thanks to all.
-
Great Thanks. I will let you know as we decide. A friend of mine is headed down to Clearwater in Feb so may hook up with them.
-
Absolutely. I would love that
-
Yes....how you getting the bikes down? In the toy hauler/ Got Room
-
OK Maybe I am asking to much but my wife and I are planning a trip to Florida towards the end of January. We are going to haul our bike down in the pickup until it gets warm enough to ride and I was wondering if any of you in the Georgia/N Florida area might live someplace with room to park my old pickup in your field or something for a week while we ride around Florida. Anyway just a thought. Rick
