Gotta keep the right air pressure in any tire
-
Must be set about right then cause mine doesn't slam into first.
-
Thanks Guys, I kinda thought that was what it was for.
-
Nope, this one isn't an over flow it is very small and has a little knob on the end that you can rotate left or right

I was changing the plugs and putting in new air filters and noticed something I had bever seen and was wondering what it might be. On the right side of the bike right behind the rear carb there is a small tube that runs from right side torwards the left side. It is moounted on the back side of the carb and has a little knob on it that you can rotate. Does anyone know what it is for?

It is amazing how many non-riders think we own and ride bikes for the gas mileage. It's sort of like my daughter working at Menards while going to college, I figured I might save a little money with her discount but soon found out I spend lots and lots more because she works there.

Don give me a call, I use a guy that I trust very much and has always taken great care of my bikes for reasonable money. I wouldn't take mine anyplace else And he is only about 10 miles from me out by Congerville

Hey Monty, We are looking at Houseboats in your part of the world. My wife and I are going to retire and live on it in about 6 years. Will try and buy one in the next 3/4 years. Such a great area down there.

I ran an Avon and when it got down to the wear bars it was like a week later it was bald/ I only got about 8000 miles out of the rear so decided to switch to another brand. I went with the Dunlap E3"s and i love the way the bike handles better plus I have 11,000 miles on them and should get another 6000 to 7000 miles more. One bad thing is they are a little noisy

Power outlet as a battery charger

I did the same thing but I did it originally so I could blow up a air mattress when we go camping. In case people haven't found out yet the fuse blows if you use the one on the fairing with the new one the problem is solved. I like the idea of the maintainer plugged in there also so will get the male end so I can do that and remove the other wire. -
Guess I'm poor or my BB's are really old cause they are steel.
-
WOW are people that poor that they can't afford a few bucks for the real thing? And anyways BB's will rust in the tire.

Oil Drip - Normal (see pics)
Rick Haywood replied to rumboogy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
\ I drained some out of mine the first time I changed it. I left it on the side stand and pulled the plug (got oil all over my hand) and then quickly put it back in. In fact I had to do it twice to get enough out. If you drain to much just buy a quart and pour some in till it is where you want it. Or just buy 4 quarts and drain it all and refill. Cheaper than running it over full. Creates small air bubbles and that is good on cam bearings or rod and main bearing. If you us synthetic it costs you $40 if not then it's about $16. Pretty cheap for piece of mind. -
Doesn't work on my 2000 MM Edition
