Scared the bajeebers out of me just watching it. No way:thumbdown:

Mine does that also. I figure it is either the way I am setting in the seat. The wind, the way may bags are loaded but mine always starts move to the left. Maybe the crown in the road. Not sure why it does it.

Two or three of us couples are going to be in Davis/Canaan Valley West Virginia from the 4th of September til the 10th of September and will be riding the area of about a 100 mile radius. Thought if anyone lived in that neck of the woods maybe we could do a ride or a meet and eat one day. Keep us in mind and let me know if this might work out for someone. Rick

Every 1800 Goldwinger is a pretty broad statement: Don't know of any GoldwING rider who wants to get rid of his e'3s. I am a gwrra member and ride mostly with goldwing people and they all love them. What it boils down to is what works for you. I also am a firm believer in taking what you hear with a grain of salt. I was on a gentlemans bike that told me he had 30,000 plus on his Avons and would never run a dunlap but when I rode his bike it onkly had 17,000 miles on it
-
What Dunlops did you run? I run E'3s and I replaced the rear because of a nail at 17,500 miles and because i was riding up to scooter bob's for the weekend and didn't want any trouble if I plugged it. I am replacing the front thursday with 20,700 miles on it. I run 39 lbs in the front and 42 in the rear riding two up. I also run around 35 lbs in the rear shocks and 3-4 in the front. I run dyna beads for ablancing. Not sure if I could get anything more from another tire. The dunlops can be a little noisey but I crank the stereo anyway and they are noisiest in curves and I live in Illinois so don't have to worry much about that. If I put on a cheaper tire and only get 8,00 miles out of them I would be changing tires every 2 months. Most tire issues are not checking the air on a regular basis and balancing. Also starting and stopping to fast. You will get what you pay for in a tire. People love the Avons also but I had a handling problem when I bought my bike with the Avons so I switched to the dunlops and the problem went away. May just be because of the new tires but you know how that goes. just my 2 cents worth

Well not sure that it was yours but I did see one the other day on my way down to Lamberts in Sikeston, MO. It was hitch hiking and mumbling something about being left in the corner, being taken for granted, and that it was going to find a new owner who would appreciate the work it does.

Bump, Was hopping some people were riding down that I could hook up with and ride along. Will be without my wife and I might get scared

I thought the government made it it's mown branch and doesn't run it any longer.

They would save millions and millions if they just wouldn't be open on Mondays. They would save so much by not having to pay out the 8 mondays or so that they close for some sort of holliday. Also just close and not delivery mail on Monday Wednesday and Friday who cares I don't care if I only get mail 2 times a week. I may not walk to the mailbox for 2-3 days anyway.

Is this a Brand new bike or is it a new to you bike? If brand new you need to contact the district rep or the manufacturer. Also in most states they do not have to disclose damage even on a new bike unless it is over a certian percentaqe of the price of the bike. Illinois is 13%. But what puzzles me is the fact that no maqtter what the deal is why does eveything have a differengt key. If they robbed parts then when they reordered all they had to do was reorder the correct locks. I also believe the very early models of the 09 did not have the cd player standard. If yours did then they sold it off the bike to someone. Don't wait go back and demand it be set right or tell them you want another $1200-$1500 back so you can make it right. I have just one key on my 2000 for everything PS what dealer is it

It is impossible to be old when you are on 2 wheels It takes more love to share a motorcycle seat then it does to share a bedroom

OK was just brain storming and was wondering if anyone is riding down to Vogel from the north like Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana or Michigan and would want to meet up in route and ride down together. Would love to meet up so let me know. Also I am camping and the site I have reserved at this point in time allows 2 tents so if anyone wants to share a site just let me know. If people are coming from north of me they can stay at the house and we can leave from here OR I will probably ride down towards the louisville area and spend the night then I can meet up with people. the next day. If you are riding down just throw out some ideas of a meeting place Rick

WOW I find it amazing how many different miels per gallon each bike gets. I get 41 mpg unless I am on the interste running 75 then I get 36. Doesn't change 1 up or 2 up still the same.

how many miles with no valve adjustment??
Rick Haywood replied to kyle's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I always wondered why so many motorcycle shops think it's OK to keep a bike a month or more for repairs. There is no way we would tolorate our cars being in the shop for a month for tires, valves and shocks but yet I here this all the time. Anyone know why they do this? It doesn't take a month to do the work -
Mike Root Beer sounds Great, I will call you Sunday morning. We are headed to a blues festival in Indiana on Saturday at Fair Oak Farms

Really they cup. I have 19,000 0n an E'# with no cupping. Tire pressure checked weekly and dyna beads solved my cupping problems I run 39 ponds of air in the front tire and 43 in the rear tire. I ride 2 up most the time. I also run 4 pounds in the front forks and 33 in the rear Just works for me

Annie and Alan, have to leave in the morning and I have really enjoyed them being here. I hate to see them leave. Shirley and I feel like we have made lifelong friends and hope they enjoy the rest of their stay in the USA. Going to try and see them when they do the meet and eat in MO. in August I believe.
