Here are a few pics of my Florida trip. Had a great ride and was able to see a bunch of people I wanted to see................but didn't get to see everyone I wanted to so I guess another trip is in order. Suppose I could leave the end of next week. Think i could go for a week and get back before the snow?

Yes it is but you know what I am lucky, in the last 3 months the wife and I have been fortunate to ride to Vogel in GA, A week in West Virginia, The leaf lookers in wisc. and now my trip to Florida. Man it's been a great 3 months. And I didn't even mention me and EUSA1's trip to B2 Mom and Dads in TN.

Well I am winding down my motorcycle trip and going to start heading home on Thursday. I have rode about 2100 miles so far with around a 1000 left to go. The weather other than the first day has been perfect. Sunny and between 74 and 84 degrees everyday. I spent time with my Niece in Gainesville and as always really enjoyed seeing them. Went to Fort Myers and spent a couple of days with my brother who I hadn't seen in 11 years and of course that was a really nice time. Stopped in Sarasota and saw my brother-in-law and sister in law. The biggest news was I found out I had a cousin whose father is my Uncle who was killed in Viet Nam in 1969. I had the opportunity to meet him and his family who live in Bradenton Florida, I had a great visit and I hope it was as enjoyable for him and his family as it was for me. I am now in Panama City Florida at my sisters place and it is so nice to see her and my brother-in-law. I always have a good time when I am with them. Remember, whatever happens in life make sure you take time for family and friends who you care about because you do not know what tomorrow will bring. Give them hugs and tell them you love them. I am very lucky to have been able to visit family and have the time to make this ride. Well I will post more when I get home with some pictures also

WARNING MIKE AND BRYAN DO NOT READ THE WEATHER HERE SUCKS YOU WOULD BE GLAD YOU DIDN'T COME ALONG. OK what a great day, not a cloud in the sky and 72 degrees. Rode with just a leather jacket and saw some nice roads. Tomorrow I will meet up with a couple of guys I know and they are going to take me on a really nice ride on their favorite roads. Weather tomorrow, Sunny and 75. I TOLD YOU GUYS NOT TO READ THIS:whistling:

Brian, tell Sherrie that it is a used one and is a jacket and it is a Harley Davidson one. the thing that confused me was I couldn't feel it working and then realized it had to be because it was 42 degrees and pouring rain and all I had on was a long sleeve shirt, the heated jacket and my rain coat and I was toasty warm. I know people who have the synergy vests and like them but wished they had gotten the jacket to help keep their arms warm. I sam going to get one for the wife when I get home and will let you know what I went with and how Shirley likes it.

OK well day one of my trip proved I either love to ride or am just plum stupid, at about 4:00 pm or so I was going with just plum stupid. Left home on Wednesday and it wqas 42 degrees and raining. I thought it would get better but nope it rained all the way to Chattanooga and stayed around the middle 40's all day So at about 7:30 as I was coming into Chattanooga I said the heck with thisI have had enough. Day 2 was a lot bette. Woke up to 39 degrees but as the day went on the sun came out and by the time the afternoon rolled around it was in the middle 60's. Had a good tall wind today and running around 80/82 on the speedometer I got 40 mpg so was happy with that. I am in Gainesville FL now at my neice's house Will be here till Saturday and then heqaded towards Dade City to meet up with some friends to do some riding. More Later PS, The new heated jacket and gloves are great, all I had on was the jacket and rain coat and stayed warm all day.

I checked the weather for Nashville and Atlanta Starting Wednesday for the next 10 days and it shows no rain wed, thurs, or friday in either palce with highs in the high 50's in Nashville and low 60's in Atlanta. Then in florida it shows 70's and up through the weekend. As for the temps, middle 50's and no rain is fine for us yankees to ride in. Chaps and sweatshirt with leather coat and away we go. I plan on Being in Gainesville FL by Thursday for supper.

OK, I believe I am going to take a ride from central Illinois to Key West Florida. I will be going via Nashville, Atlanta, Stopping in Gainesville FL for a few days to visit my neice and a couple of friends then off to Fort Myers to see my Brother. Then down to Key West for a day or so and then back up the east side of FloridaStopping in Orlando to visit a cousin. Then the chilly ride on home. Just thought if anyone wanted to ride along on the route either for a few days or just the day let me know (or the whole trip) and I will get my trip all planned out and let you know when I will be in your area. I would also change my route some if there are people who want to ride, I will stop and pick you up along the way. Rick

Tom Glad you are getting better my friend. My ribs are better. Night before last my wife said it was the first time since my accident that I was able to get into bed without a moan in pain. Got mine all back together and it looks good as new. Did you get a new bike yet? Enjoy the weekend. Rick
