  1. Good luck Harry and it was great talking to you. Call anytime and for that matter if you aRe up this way stop by you always have a place at our house
  2. I Switch the starter circuit relays on the bikes and see if it starts. That will tell ys for sure. I would be very suprised if that is the problem. It is pretty simple to get to it is located behind the fuel pump. I have a new one in the box if that is the problem I am 300 miles from you and I could bring it to you ifyou need it
  3. May be the rectifyer regulator that happened to mine and it did weird things like that. Stzrt the bike and unhook the battery if it keeps running the stator is fine
  4. I would bypass ignition switch first to see if it runs. Also recheck every fuse. If it is the relay I have a new one in the box but I doubg that Iis the problem. Let me know if I can help in anyway. 309@264@five 606

  7. Carl talk to Diamond seats before you make your choice on what to do we put one on a goldwing we had and we loved it. They make it for your heigth weight
  8. Nancy made me a tank bib and air breather covers and they are tan and look really good on my bike. She has pictures on her web site of them on my bike or if you are on Facebook look me up and you can see the there
  9. Bad I don't think so it has a good 3500 feet left in it.
  10. Do the color tune at night or at least cover you and the front of the bike to make it as dark as possible. N matter what when muffin man did mine my bike ran so much better'
  11. My 2nd gen handles best with an e3 on the rear and a Avon on the front.
  12. Lewis you have the pins numbered and I was going to bid on each one but when I tried to bid on more than one it tells me my bid must be higher than the highest bid but it shows zero bids. Am I doing something wrong or does one bid go to all of them:confused24:
  13. Annie tell Alan good as gold. Not to be a stickybeak how does he like it? Thinking about one myself:thumbsup2:
  14. We lost a friend saturday night here in the peoria area. Drunk driver pulled out in front of his bike. Killed Dan and his wife is in the hospital. The driver sped away but witnesses got all the info needed and they caught him pretty quickly.
  15. I used washers and 3m double sided tape pur the washers over the holes with the tape and problem solved:thumbsup2:
  16. Handle bar risers will help. It allows you to set back instead of leaning forward on the tank
  17. Same thing happened to my MM last weekend while on an overnight ride to Indiana. Air it up and has stayed at 40 pounds since I have Dyna beads and cheched air before I left so only thing I can figure is one of the beads got stuck in the valve core and created a small leak ..
  18. I had mine about 115 in 4th chasing EUSA1 down a hill trying yo keep up on a road in northern illinois
  19. It affected mine at all speeds, it ran like a vtwin rough and such but i had one carb burning light yellow while the others were burning bunson burner blue.
  20. You need your carbs color tuned (air fuel ratio set). Mine ran fine but not great in my opinion I tried everything plugs, carb sync, sea foam, diaphragms different air filters and it helped but when I had my carbs color tuned it completely changed the bike. It ran smoother, had the power it lacked at 75-90 mph and I picked up a couple miles to the gallon. I didn't look to see where you lived but you will find a few members on here that have the carb tune to do it with. I know a member in NC and Ohio have them. Good luck Also the plugs on these bikes need changed ever 8-10 thousand miles. Guys will tell you they have 25,000 miles on there's and it runs fine but until they change then they don't realize it doesn't. You can pull the plugs and think they look good but spend the $10 you will be glad you did. As for valve adjustment IMHO you don't need to spend guy the money yet. If you ask most you will find most wait a little longer I didn't do mine until around 90,000 and only had 1 exhaust valve that was a little tight
  21. I test road the cross country tourer twice at Daytona and was so impressed with the ride and handling the wife didn't like the heat from the motor but other than that we both liked it alot
  22. Do you have passing lights and are they run through a relay? Either way my guess is where the switch plugs in under the tank is melted and loosing contact if you pull the tank and look the plastic pieces will be melted. I cut that out and wired direct, soldered it and heat srink wrapped it
  23. The wife's car keys are a nice addition:thumbsup2:
  24. Only takes 1 minute to steal the whole bike:confused24:
  25. Mines been squeaking for 40,000 miles or so only does it the first time I get on it after it gets a couple days
