Jay, we were lucky to grow up with the best music rock and roll had to offer. There is so much great music fro 1955-1980. I work part time security at a college campus and I was surprised how many young people listen to that era of music. I guess being force feed it growing up from your parents may have helped. I know our 22 year old daughter loves it is listens o it an a regular basis.

Gary, That was/is true with most states. I have my CC permit now but before it became popular to allow people to get them by most states I still carried. As for going to jail I figured protecting my wife and daughter was worth the risk and still do. I am not a believer in the propaganda that my government knows what is best for me.

I don't leave home without my protection, never really cared what the government thought about it. I figured I was going to protect my family and they didn't have the right to tell me I couldn't.

So much to see on the parkway and just off of it also. Make sure you check out Grandfather Mountain, Also Little Switzerland and the Diamondback is right there and is a great ride. Also at the west end is Maggie Valley and Cherokee and in Maggie Valley is the Motorcycle museum. Also you wont be far from the Cherohala Parkway and The Dragon. If she likes to ride she will love the trip.

Greatly improved handling
Rick Haywood replied to Rolltide's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I put the 130 on the front of mine and did like how it changed the handling of the bike at slow speeds. But I ride 2 up most the time and we travel for 3-4 days many times with gear and also pull a trailer and I did not like how the bike felt and rode at higher speeds. Wish maybe they made a 140 so I could split the difference LOL -
Doesn't Ohio bike week start the same weekend in Sandusky? Sounds like an extended trip may be in order.

Your CB Antenna was put on wrong. Probably when they unrated it when it was new. Needs to be moved before you use the cb, if it hasn't ruined the cb already

ATTENTION...............DO NOT I repeat DO NOT go to Orlin and Sharon's IF you have to be someplace in a few hours. Something about their hospitality and where they live that just makes you want to stay and set along the creek or in the shop and relax, talk, eat and drink and then do some riding. Then when you are done with that you just want to do it all over again. It's like groundhogs day all over.

MP3 input jack in place of tape player
Rick Haywood replied to fixit3546's topic in General Tech Talk
Tere is no need to remove the tape deck there is already a jack right next to the player when you open the cover. Most guys split the fairing and add a "Y" to the jack and then run the cable to the MP3 player wherever it is mounted. Plays through the AUX on the control box -
