I have sold a number of things on CL. The only real hassle is sifting through the scams and BS you get. I picked up a set of V and H longshot exhaust for my 1500 vulcan that were in like new shape for 50.00 and the guy met me so i didn't have to drive far to get them. Sold campers, trucks and motorcycles on it and like I said except for the BS i like it.

I used the CPM for a week but we have a stationary bike that I use everyday. Started with the seat way up and have been reduceing the seat distance everyday. I can get a lot more reps. in a shorter time. Pt released me this morning and I can get 110 degree's out of the knee in 2 weeks. Getting full extension on the leg is just as important as flexion. No matter how hard you push it healing takes time. If you overdo it it will take longer for the swelling to go down. I use the bike about 15 min.s 4 times a day and when sitting I use a pillow under my left ankle and a 3 lb. weight on my knee. this has gotten me to 0 extention with out any problems. My rt. knee I worked the same way 2 years ago and have 135 degree's in it with no problems. Best of luck with a fast recovery I'm sure there are a lot of us that just abused our bodies when we were young and are paying for it now. If I knew I would llive this long I would have taken better care of myself. LOL

thanks for doing this Bob You don't know how much I would like to go on this ride. 2 weeks out of surgery just woun't let me do it. I need a few more weeks till I see the dr. again then I'll be ready. Have fun Steve -
Hang in there James prayers are sent and hope your feeling better soon. Its tough on the legs when you can't use them much the muscles weaken up fast.

Good luck Crash It looks like we could start our own section on people being rebuilt. I had my staples taken out yesterday from my left knee replacement. I had the right hip and the right knee done 2 years ago. I do have to say they have come a long way in 2 years. The pain factor for this knee is much less and is healing up much faster. I wasn't looking forward to getting this knee done but really looking forward to the next month to be over with and being back to normal. Good luck and heal fast riding season is still a way off so what better time to get it done. Good luck Steve

I had my right hip replaced and my rt. knee replaced within 6 weeks of each other. I had a sidecar setup at that time but also rode a 2001 venture 2 up. The hip heels up quick compaired to the knee. I would plan on giving the hip a good 6 to 8 weeks heal time before riding. Now is the best time as you can have a pain free riding season by April. I just had my left knee replaced 2 weeks ago and plan on riding by march or sooner. This one is healing much quicker and with a lot less pain then the right one did. Wish I could have done them sooner instead of putting up with the pain. Go for it in a couple of weeks you will be glad you did it. Steve

Its easy with a sidercar attached. I have removed my rear wheel and adder a CT when I had mine. I used a floor jack up under the rear shock and let the bike tip forward and to the right side the front wheel and sidecar wheel a great pivot stop for raising the bike. You can also use the jack under the rear bottom frame mount depending how you hack is attached.

with luck the weather will be better. Lets leave the dates open for a vote till it gets closer and can try to get the most that are free for that time. you never know what the weather will be but we could get lucky like last year and it was great.

this is my third Rt Hip, Rt hip and now left knee. So far this has gone really good compaired to the rt. knee. Keep rebuilding me and I'll just keep on going. 3 days out of surgery and can put full weight on it and just use the walker for balance. I have an 80 degree movement in it and hope thing keep going this way. Your right a hospital is no place to get any sleep. Didn't sleep for 2 days so last night was a treat. have fun everyone and I'm looking forward to getting on the bike in a few months.

Got a call from the Doc. and the Hospital today and everything is still a go for tomorrow for my knee replacement. Even with the snow and ice roads. My biggest worry was a cancelation and having to wait till march to have it done. At least with the bad weather there is nothing to do but sit around anyway. I'll be out riding come spring. Thanks for all the best wishes and I'll be back on next week with an update. Play Nice all and get out when you can Steve

we can get out of the driveway and I just got a call from the Dr's office and my surgery is still on for tomorrow. Left knee replacement. Good time to be layed up for awhile.

Thanks all for the best wishes. I'm not looking forward to it but it has to be done. The right knee was a bear for a few weeks but now its great. I got a chance to ride some today and just wiped the ride down and put it up for a few months. I'll keep you all posted on how well things go but the Dr. I have does real nice work. Ride Safe everyone. Steve

Trying to get a few things caught up before I go in next week on the 12th to have my left knee replacement done. Saw the Dr. and the joint is shot bone on bone. Had the right one replaced 2 years ago and its great ( hope this one ends up the same way.) At least doing it now will have me ready to ride come spring. Hope everyone has a fun winter. Steve
