  1. If you have a PPG paint dealer in your area you can take the bike or a piece of it to them and they can take a reading off it and match the paint #'s and color. Thats how I got the 2006 Black cherry color. Still good paint is not cheap.
  2. Hay Murph You should ride down to PC Beach for the Thunder Beach Rally May 1-4. A couple of us are riding down on Wend ( day before rally starts ). ( Anyone planing on going down ???????? To Thunder Beach ??? )
  3. http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail.asp?PF=6&ProductID=HDCH-990 Hi David This is from the J&M site and theses are the bags I got. Hope the link works !!
  4. Eck you don't have to paint the back of the shield Black . Use the same color of the biks and it would look sharp. or paint the shield first with the bike color. and then with a coat of black. The bike color will be seen through the windshield from the front of the bike and the black will be on the backside of the shield to match the bag color. Just a thought ??
  5. Hi David The bags I'm using are listed in above post and they have a nice stiff backing. They fit the curve of the windshield really nice and don't fall forward when you put your stuff in them. They are a real nice quality and not flimsy. I had a set of bags I picked up cheap that had a thick vinyl tail piece on them and the bags were riveted to it. They bowed at the top and I didn't like the way they fitted or looked so I trashed them. Thes cost more but I think they are well worth it. my 2 cents
  6. I have 2 pic's of my windshield bags mounted. ( Not the greatest pic's. ) I got them from J&M Corp. part # 505876 HDCH 990 The best part is they are plain and don't have Harley written on them. The bottom tail of the bags can be slipped between the dash and the windshield. ( don't even have to take the windshield off ) just loosen it up. When you tighten the shield back up it pinches the bag tail between the shield and the dash backing. Doesn't move and can't be pulled out.
  7. Hi Eck Its Steve but I answer to almost anything LOL. Glad you got the grill how you want it . ( Fiberglass is a real pain to paint ). Take care Bro.
  8. Prayers from us in Ga. don't let this get the best of you we are all pulling for you.
  9. yep I can still get in the right saddle bag but it only opens stright up on the lid. Its where I keep things like rain gear and tools that I don't need often.
  10. Congrats on the Hack.. They take some getting use to but worth the effort. Enjoy your new Ride.

    Car Tire ??

Might as well throw in my 2 cents in. I would not put one on a 2 wheel bike but I have a hack on mine and the bike does not lean !!. It wears the front and rear tire flat in the middle. The trouble with a bike tire is when the center gets warn flat the bike handles better with the hack on it. However by that time the tire is shot. There are a large number of sidecar riders running car tires on the front and rear of their rigs. ( if you look on racing sidecars they almost all use car tires ). If I didn't have the sidecar on my bike I would'nt even be thinking about it. 4 to 5 thousand miles out of a rear Bike tire is the pits. One thing nice about the ventures is it has a wide rim compaired to most bikes. I am still looking for a good size match in width and dia. so far a 165/80/15 looks real close. Scott I know what you are saying about running one on a bike but with a sidecar the flatter the tire surface to the ground the better the rig handles and with a car tire I can just about double the road contact surface.
  12. I have a corbin seat on mine which is about 2 inches lower then the stock seat. This might be a way to go with a rider with a short inseam.
  13. Way to go
  14. a couple of pic's
  15. Thats the one I got Eck but I searched it on the web and found one for 96.00 which included shipping. I think it was worth the extra. Its a nice piece, (not the cheap black plastic backing that the bags are rivited to.)
  16. If anyone wants to put on a nice set of bags, I just installed the Harley bags #990 . They install really nice and the tail is long enough to slid behind the windshield and can't come out. Well made and look great !! No drilling needed and quick install.
  17. Done and keep up the great work.!!!! thanks Don for having this site
  18. Clear sky and no rain at least to start out in. Temp above 25 works but 45 to 75 are great.
  19. its a champion sidecar. now that i'm use to the way it handles its great.
  20. I have only towed the trailer with 2 bikes on it once. most of the time it only had the harrley on it on the rightside. It tows just fine with one bike on it. Does not try to tip and has good tongue weight.
  21. I need 1000.00 for it and it is in greatshape. It will haul a 2005 RSV and my 84 Virago no sweat. ( just can't use it now that I have a sidecar on the 2005.)
  22. Hi Bill I have one and it works great I can haul my 2005 RSV and my 84 Virago. Since I put the sidecar on the RSV I can't fit it on the trailer so the trailer is now forsale.
  23. Great looking Ride Kit !!! I know you will put it to good use. Congrats !!!!
