Thanks for your order Pete. It will be in the mail on Friday. Yours will be the last one I will be doing for this year. Heading to Fl. on Sat. to see the kids for Christmas. I hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas. Steve:rudolf:

Glad you could make it up Mike it was nice meeting you. Anyone riding up my way give me a shout and stop by and say Hi. I have plenty of wood this year for the fireplace.

To get the seat off use the key and on the right rear of the seat is a lock. turn the key one way and it will unlock the helmet lock. Turn it the other way and it unlocks the seat. then push the lever behind the lock and on the other side of the seat and the seat will lift off.

I had a little low speed wobble in my hack set up and built a steering dampener for it. That along with making sure the front tire was to proper inflation and making sure the steering head bearings are tight got rid of the wobble. If your out for a test ride come on over would like to see it up close. Even that it leans it will still take some riding time to get use to it. Steve

I have used anti-fog on my face shields in the past and it works great. You can find it at any dive shop for face masks.

If ACE doesn't have the blanks for motorcycles, ask them to check the match with a Toyota key blank they are the same. ( forget the # but it works )

Ok here is a stab at it. On the lower fairings you have 3 bolts and a pish pin at the bottom. The 2 allen bolts next to the radiator and there is one allen that goes on the inside of the lower fairing right above the crash bars, which hold the fairing in place. They started using a rubber o ring looking nut to hold this screw in place. Not sure what year they started doing this. On the 99's they used a slip over spring clip to screw this screw into. You can get these anywhere ( autozone etc. )

I'm sure she will miss it. I guess I'll just have to hold her out the window while I'm driving the car. Or maybe better to bungee her to the back of the 01

Since I have had my hip and knee replaced last year and doing great I might add. I have decided to sell my Sidecar rig. I have been ridding the 2001 I got 2 months ago and just haven't been ridding the hack much. I'm sure I will miss it when its gone ( hard to beat on a trip ). Its in the classifieds if anyone is interested.

Dan You the man are you bored or what LOL -
The 97 Royal Star I had did that a few times. I found out the fan was hitting the shroud and not turning. Check to make sure the fan spins freely and the there is enough coolant in the tank.

How do I identify a bad ignition coil?
SteveW replied to Tartan Terror's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Hi Scott So how are things on the Island My # 3 coil was bad on my 2005 ( since I got the bike used ). It just didn't have the power in 5th gear and a vibration under load ( even over 70 mph ). It seams that most people have been having troble with the #3 coil ( Right rear while sitting on the bike ) I got a set at pinwheel cycle for 39.00 and replaced the #3 and it made a big difference Since then I replaced the rest of them but it was #3 that did the trick.
