  1. Hi Don If the color is the same as the color I painted your gauge plate I can email you the code tomorrow. That is the darker lowers color Steve
  2. It sounds like my 2005 when it had a bad #3 plug wire. Just didn't run like my 99 did. I changed both rear wires and it runs great now and thats with the extra weught of the sidecar. Before I changed the wires if I put it in 5th gear at 70 it just didn't take the gas without a shutter. Since the wires i can drop it in 5th at 60 and its nice and smooth.
  3. Thanks Mike for the offer but just bring yourselves and have a good time. We will have dogs, chips and drinks There is also a Rib Country close by if anyone wants to go there for bar-b-q Steve
  4. I would like to get some kind of head count if you are planing on making it. The weather looks like it will be great nly in the low 70's Steve
  5. Hi Earl I received my kit the other day and haven't had a chance to install it yet.I will mail it back to you this week. Thats all I'll need is the heavy spring. Have a great Easter S... Happens not your fault Steve
  6. Hi Don Are you really going to have TP. We have plenty of corn cobs and leaves here for our MD next week.
  7. Hi Earl Got my kit today just as promised. Thanks a ton for putting these together for us. Hope you have a great weekend and a chance to ride. Steve
  8. I might be off base but I would split the fairing and check all the elec. plug in connections first. Could be corrosion has gotten into the connector. Not sure if a bad ignition switch would cause your problem or not.
  9. The first one I put on I was following suggestion from some prople and reversed the direction. It didn't work for my bike. The one I have on now is running in the driection on the sidewall the same as if it were on the rear. No problems with it yet. I did ad risers on my handlebars and that helped with the steering a lot. I was thinking about racking the front end but its not that hard to steer and if the hack ever came off the rack would have to be changed back. There were some reasons listed to reverse the tire direction to do with the water shed off from the tire and others. Just giving my opinion for what happened when I did it. Broken belt in 1400 miles.
  10. Sounds like you had a good time Dan. I guess you did better with the gators then the Bear.
  11. I put a rear Dunlap on my rig the first part of last year. I mounted it backwards. I rode the bike down to south Fl. and back 1400 miles on the interstate. When I got back I had a bad lump on the front tire. A belt had broken in the tire. I put on a Avon Venom on the front and mounted it in the direction on the tire. running it as if it would have been mounted on the rear. So far over 4000 miles and not a problem with the tire or how it handles in wet or dry conditions. Just my 2 cents worth
  12. Its black and hard to see. Looks real good between the exhaust and the frame under where the plug goes. It could be hiding there. BTW never start up your bike with the fins off It will pop a plug out in a heartbeat.
  13. Hi Randy Well that saves us a lot of work. LOL you know you can bring it over anytime and we can work on it.
  14. Great Video with a High Pucker Factor

  20. better leave your gloves at home
  21. The ones in south Ga. have been infected by swamp gas and the smell from the paper mill. That will make anyone nuts.
  22. I have a car tire on the rear and put a Avon rear tire on the front. You right that it takes a little work in the twisties but once you get use to it its fine. You should have a little toein on the hack wheel. Just takes the turns slow and it makes a big difference on how it handles. If the turn speed says 35 do it at 35. I have around 12000 miles on my 2005 with the sidecar mounted. Ps: keep the pressure up in the tires it helps.
  23. Hope to see you two at Maint. Day here on the 10th. With luck we will have better weather then last year. Glad to hear you got everything fixed on the bike.
  24. Prayers sent, It seems like one something goes wrong it just never ends. Our best wishes for a complete and quick recovery.
