Be safe, watch for the bambi's!

My wife helps watch for hazards, keeps me alert to "spot" it before her, and keeps her sharp when she is riding her bike.

Blackwater Brewing Company Thomas & Williams Ave Davis, WV 26260 Phone: 304-259-4221 Been a couple years since I have been there, but it was a great place to eat. Mt. Storm Lake.... beautiful ride in that area, there are a couple of places where you come around the corner, and there is a wind-turbine... the blades almost look like you can touch them from the road. Same for the Fairfax Stone. We also like the ride to Blackwater Falls.

There is ALOT of information about tires on this site, even some who use a car tire on the rear of their bike. Personally, I hate the factory Bridgestones they were completely worn out at 5,500 miles. I am now running Dunlop E-3's and happy, I have 4,200 miles on them, they still look very good. Things that may influence tire wear are: Interstate v. twisties | temp of the pavement when you ride | what type of surface you ride on | where you live (different states use different asphalt mix, or even concreate | how you ride | how you load your bike My opinion, if you got 14,000 miles on your current brand of tires.. I would stick with them. My tire goal is 10,000 to 12,000 miles My 2 cents worth,

A good attitude, dont lose your sense of humor and take things as they come... it is the trip, not the destination. Best of Luck. -

So how well do cowboy boots work with 2nd Gen Controls?
CalhounWV replied to GG54172's topic in Riding Gear
Find what is comfortable and will protect your ankles. Many bike shops have foot wear designed for bikers, try some on until you find what you like. -
I came from riding V-twins to the RSTD V4... it took me awhile to get used to running it at higher RPM's. After that mine quite whinning.

Just wore out my rear OEM tire,( 5,500 miles ). I am considering giving a c/t a try. I just found out that the Kumho power star 758 165/80R15 is no longer made. Any suggestions? ( for all the anti-darksiders -- I am going to put the Dunlop E3's on next -- My expectation is 11,000 miles from the rear, otherwise I am going to the darkside and try it out )

Ouch!!! Stealer tire prices
CalhounWV replied to Trader's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Check the tire, make sure it is the one for your bike.... that sounds like the price of a E3 radial. -
http://rider.com/ A good company, with cheap rates. Give them a call and get a quote. You will talk to a live person.
